Arriving at the apartment

The next morning was rather hectic as we made our final preparations, said our goodbyes to our childhood home, and were ready to make the drive to the apartment. Something we do on road trips is take turns possessing each other and driving in one another’s body. The point is that when one of us is possessing the other, their mind is ****. This allows us to virtually, from each of our perspectives, cut the time we’re awake in the car mindlessly staring at a highway in half.

By the time we pulled into the parking lot of the apartment, I was taking a turn driving as Cass. I parked the car and jumped out of her body, placing myself back in the passenger seat as she woke up.

“Wakey Wakey we’re here Cass,” I say in a sing song voice as she regains consciousness.

“Oh great,” she responds somewhat enthusiastically, “let’s just grab the essentials for now and take them in, we’ll come back for the rest later.”

“Maybe our roommates will be here?” I question hopefully.

“I doubt it,” she responds, “we’re pretty early. I wouldn’t expect them until later tonight.

“Speaking of which,” I began, “do you know who our housemates are?” The rent for the apartment is being split amongst four people. My sister and I being two of the four, and the other two being people we haven’t met yet.

Cass shrugged, “I know their names,” she told me, “I think they’re siblings too since they share a last name but I haven’t met them yet.” She looked at me with a grin, “they’re both girls though.”

“Really?!” I exclaim, letting my blatant excitement show.

“Yes really. Let’s see how long you can… keep your hands to yourself,” she says smugly.

“Oh come on sis you know better than me how much you love running into random people,” we share some excited laughs as we approach the doorway and enter the apartment. It was a basic four room apartment with one shared bathroom. Cass and I picked rooms next to each other as we unpacked our things.

Evening came as we finished the unpacking process and relaxed for bit. There was no TV or anything at the moment so it was a pretty chill, albeit boring, time.

“Soooooo,” I say out loud in the silent air, “any plans to kill time?” We couldn’t get up to our usual antics, mainly because the other roommates were due tonight and it would be an interesting first impression to see one of us touching ourselves ass-naked.

“Not really,” Cass sighed, “I’m just about to run outside and take over the first person I se-“ before her sentence could finish, the doorknob began to jiggle as we heard the clanging of keys being inserted.

The roommates were here.
