Arriving at Highwater Town

The helicopter's blades whirred and chugged as you look out of the windows at a picturesque scene - Lush green forests flanked by snowcapped mountains, beautiful blue lakes and small buildings that lead to a larger congregation of structures that make up Highwater town. The helicopter lands on a peak across the lake, at an empty dock with a shuttered bait shop.

"Miss, we have arrived." the pilot speaks as he looks over to you.

"Thank you for the ride, Jax." you nod with a smile.

"Always a pleasure to serve a beautiful lady like yourself." he smiles as you exit the chopper.

As the chopper leaves in a swirl of wind and dust, you find yourself at the dock by the lake, staring down the bait shop. "Jim's baits." you read to yourself. "No time to waste then." you say as you walk towards the structure, flipping open a hidden wall panel that reveals a numeric keypad. With a few taps, the shop's door unlocks with a beep, letting you in as you walk into a dark room with empty shelves and nothing too out of the ordinary.

You look around the place with your vision. Noticing the crack in the wall, you approach it and insert the key. "Bingo." you say as the lights come on and door locks behind you.

The ground by the wall cackles as it moves, sliding open to reveal a short set of stairs that lead into a hidden bunker entrance.

"Come in, V." the lady on Comms speak to you through your earpiece.

"I'm here." you reply as you walk down the stairs.

"Have you reached the bunker?"

"Just stepped in."

"Good. It's a little dusty but it should be otherwise quite pleasant to be in."

"Pleasant isn't a word I'd use." you jest as you look around to notice the many monitors and keyboards with computers and documents lying around.

"You won't need to use it for long. When the term starts you will be staying at the academy's own dormitory rooms with a female roommate."

"Interesting."

"Don't worry, we made sure to confirm that she was a human and have run extensive background checks."

"So I will be able to read her mind on the daily then." you laugh with a smirk.

"Just don't make it obvious."

"I might just try and wipe her memory if I did anyway." you reply.

"Now that you are in the bunker, take some time to read up on the notes and data that our onsite agents have collected. There is a car key to the black sedan that waits outside by the lot, that will be your personal vehicle for this operation."

"Wow, thanks." you nod. "Perks of the job, huh? Does it come with hidden rockets as well?"

"Not this one unfortunately. Just a regular vehicle."

"Budget cuts must have been rough." you shrug.

"Thanks for the heads up, I'd see what I can do from here." you affirm.
