Shepard was shocked when it happened but they ended up in an entanglement at some point. At first it was just sex. And then it quickly grew into something much more than sex. Perhaps it was Nyreen’s **** or the breakup Shepard had with Liara after having a romantic relationship with Thane, but the two after the war grew closer until finally Shepard broke the ice by kissing Aria much like she had kissed her after taking back Omega.

At last they had their first official date just the previous night. It wasn’t much but it ended with them sleeping with each other in Shepard’s apartment.
