Answer her calmly

"Thank you," you say coolly.

"Well then, how may I help you? Should I start packing my clothes to be sent off to the monastery?"

"No, unless you really want to. Otherwise, you can stay here, or somewhere else, if you want to. It is up to you and I will allow it."

The queen eyes you with suspicion, "Why is that?"

You shrug. "That's how it is.“

“You expect me to believe you when I chased you out of the castle years ago?"

"I was the spare, and in irony, spared from the fate the befell my father and brother because you did that," you tell her.

The queen glares hard upon hearing the rather cynical reply, but you maintain your cool. You then tell the queen that you find her reaction to the whole thing puzzling. She looks as if she's at lost but isn't really sad by your father and brother's passing.

"Yes, I am a heartless woman," she admits. "But how can I have any feeling left, after your father took your brother away from my life?"
