Another successful day

As Edward hoped, the rest of the day goes well. You see nothing but happy couples, and in one case, a triad. That group caught your attention a bit, a pair of centaur women with a very happy farmer. The two centaur are sisters, and the three of them are happily working together on the farm, seemingly having the time of their lives. You restrain your curiosity, but you can see that Edward has noticed, and you can tell he’s amused by your reaction. When you leave, you have to ask, as you drive off.

“So, centaur on a farm I get, but…sisters? Is this a porn we’re living in?”

Edward laughs. “I had a feeling that would come up, as soon as I saw we were coming here I figured you’d ask. For some reason, that taboo isn’t really a thing among monster girls. I don’t know why, but monster girl sisters have a tendency to gravitate towards the same mate.”

You chuckle. “I suppose it’s not technically inbreeding, but it still seems a bit odd. But those two seemed happy, so what do I know?”

Edward nods. “Part of it is that when they come through the portal, they know they’re never going back. So if they’re coming with a sibling, they want to stay close. But still, it happens much the same in the old world, I’m told.”

You shrug. “Well, I suppose it’s not hurting anyone. As long as everyone is happy, I’d say it’s a win.”

Edward smiles. “That’s how most of us feel. And the sponsors never seem to complain!”

You laugh. “I bet not. If it works, it works! And her, who better on a farm than a centaur and her sister?”

Edward nods. “They were so happy to move there. Centaur thrive on open space. And they love to work. Sometimes, it’s an easy fit.”

You smile. “Good to hear.”

The two of you drive back to the AWIO, and wrap up your day. You don’t get a chance to go visit Sirona, but another advisor tells you that Dakota and Mazzy visited earlier. They apparently left not long ago, and with big smiles on their faces, so you assume it went well. You’re sure you’ll hear all about it later.

As you finish up the necessary paperwork, Edward tells you that there’s a couple interviews scheduled tomorrow, and the plan is for you to handle one of them. Immediately, you’re nervous, but he calms you by reminding you that he’ll be there to help you if you need it. He hands you the file, laughing.

“Just a bit of homework. I’ve included details of a few of the interested girls as well, so you can see what to expect.”

You chuckle as you take the folder of information. “You know, this would be easier if we had it all on computer.”

Edward rolls his eyes. “Preaching to the choir, man. The council is mostly old world people, so they’re slow to adapt. Hopefully Rachel can get some changes made. I’d much rather have a laptop than a giant pile of loose paper!”

You laugh. “I’m sure we’ll get there. I guess this way there’s no worries about a hacker getting someone’s personal info!”

Edward laughs and shakes his head. “Fair enough. Anyway, give that a glance when you can. Tomorrow is a big day!”

You smile as you tuck the file under your arm. “Sounds like it. See you tomorrow, Edward.”
