"No real updates, just that Mel is a bit upset that your first big bunch of experience was from a hornet's nest rather than enslaving all the humans of that town. But hey, as long as you don't kill the Hornet Empress, it's not a real loss. By the way, you should totally get together with her. Even without the super-powered hornets you'd make, she's actually pretty sexy after her evolution, not like that queen you killed."

"I'll...think about it. By the way, speaking of partners, you said the Demon King was a woman, right? Got any tips to win her over? Or even get on her radar?" I can't say I didn't want to become Demon King myself when we started this whole thing, so might as well try for it.

"Oh, you're quite a ways from that, Anon. You need to evolve at least twice before you even stand a chance to win her heart. Even if she's...not quite the most powerful, she's not going to get together with you if you're not powerful, yourself. But...you need to get powerful quickly anyway... You know what, don't tell Mel I told you this, but there's a few feuding goblinoid tribes near where you are. Getting people under your control is gonna be crucial to your Devil evolution, so conquer all of them and you'll be good to go. Slime...I assume you just need to eat things. I've never actually seen a slime evolve, but I'm actually kind of interested in it."

So...someone's definitely messing with their perception of me. I need to talk to Ariel about this... "Well, if that's the case, I guess 'King of the Goblins' isn't that bad for now."

Carnachias giggles. "Hey, go nuts with all the sex-goblins, Anon. You'll definitely earn some of my favor, if you want to become a Priest."

You chuckle. "By the way, you keep calling me Anon. You...do know my name, right?"

"Yeah, of course I do, I'm a goddess, after all. I just don't bother to call most people by their names. Get some achievements under your belt and I might bother."

"I...guess that's kinda fair..."
