Another morning, a bigger problem

As the four girls and Joyce fell asleep, none of the women of the house were aware that the backdoor was wide open, allowing eight new visitors to enter the house.

The mother skunk and her seven offspring scurried around the house as they sniffed and foraged, eventually finding their way upstairs. The mother scratched and sniffed, her kittens in toe as they passed Chloe's room and the bathroom. The mother sniffed at Chloe's door before recoiling.

Smelled like another skunk already took that area to use as a den for the night.

That was when the mother saw another room with the door open just enough to allow for entry. Ushering her kittens into the room, the mother skunk helped them climb up onto the bed, curling up as the family fell asleep for the night.

As they did so, Joyce was laying still, deep in slumber as she was unaware of her new bedmates...

The next morning, Rachel and Chloe were both spooning Max in their sleep; the former rubbing her back and butt, while the latter rubbed her stomach. Max, for her part, smiled and cuddled into it, dreaming the best dream she ever had.

And then there was Victoria, the blonde laying off the edge of the bed and snoring like a jumbo jet to the point that one had to wonder how it didn't wake the other three.

What did wake the other three, however, was the loud scream echoing from down the hall, causing Max, Rachel, and Chloe to bolt upright as Victoria yelped and fell out of bed; landing on her face on the floor.

"What the hell was that?!" Victoria asked as she sat back up.

"I think it was my mom, but why would she - WHOA!" Chloe began, only to get cut off as an all too familiar smell suddenly hit her nostrils. "Victoria!" She hissed quietly, "I thought you said you got rid of the smell last night!"

"I did! It's not me!" Victoria responded in kind, giving herself a quick sniff just to be sure.

"Well if it's not Victoria, then what is it?" Rachel asked, holding her nose.

Max thought about something for a few seconds before asking, "Hey, guys? When we ran in because I mistook Sprinkles for a skunk, did anyone remember closing the backdoor?"

All four girls paled, their eyes going wide.

After getting dressed in some of Chloe's spare clothes, the four ran down the stairs just in time to see Joyce shooing the last baby skunk out the backdoor with a broom, earning herself another dose of spray from the mother before the human mother slammed the door shut.

Turning on her heel, the girls could see that Joyce's pajamas were completely soaked, the older woman covered from head to toe in skunk musk. But what made the four girls terrified was the look on Joyce's face.

When she had caught Max, Rachel, and Chloe sneaking back in naked, she was unamused.

When she caught the girls in her living room with a naked Victoria, she was annoyed.

But now? Judging by the twitching of her eye and the snarl on her red face, Joyce was downright livid.

"Chloe. An explanation... Now!" Joyce growled, her daughter letting out a nervous gulp.
