Another Day, Another Decision.

"Here we go again..." you grumble to yourself as you think that today is the day you will meet with Shade again and tell him your decision. Just like every other day, it started much of the same, wake up, pleasure Lexie, train with Zoe, leave a little earlier before the sun starts to set, go back to your chambers, throw on your armor again to be prepared when you eventually encounter Shade, then make your way up the mountain and into the Syndicate.

It was at that point, you didn't know what to do. Shade said you wouldn't be able to find him but they would find you. Part of you just wanted to go outside the gates like you did yesterday and walk in the same direction and just assume he would be in the same spot but that almost seems a little too simple.

So, just like how they originally found you and gave you orders you just figured you would randomly walk around the Syndicate. The sun was still lowering in the sky so you imagined they most likely wouldn't ambush you while the sun was up so you had some time to waste.

You made rounds through out Sicilian, spoke with random warriors and Sunriders, went over to the tavern and had a quick bite to eat with your fellow warriors and then after the sun has set you started to wander the streets of Sicilian.

You felt extremely exposed as much of the streets themselves were void of people. You still had enemies and you never knew if an assassin would show up and try to take your head. You constantly looked over your shoulder and you were completely paranoid as minutes passed by and nothing happened.

"Where the fuck are you guys..." you grumble out as you turn down another dark alleyway that too is void of all signs of life.

This little alleyway is only about five feet wide and has some random barrels and boxes down it. Normally this would be a place you wouldn't want to venture down alone in the middle of the night but you are who you are and to be fair, you are looking for trouble in the form of Shade.

As you get about half way through the alley, you suddenly hear something behind you. Something small skips across the ground, most likely a little pebble getting kicked accidentally. You stop dead in your tracks, just staying quiet and listening. You're in the middle of this alleyway now with no clear escapes if this was actually a trap. You either run forward, another twenty feet to exit this alley or you turn around and run another twenty feet to go back to the main stretch of Sicilian.

You hold your ground and turn your head behind you, seeing two figures guarding that entrance to the alleyway behind you. Those two figures completely shrouded in darkness causing it to be impossible to make out any features.

Turning your head to look ahead of you now stands another dark figure at the entrance to the alleyway. They, as well were completely shrouded in darkness and seemed to have for the most part the same proportions of Shade. "About fucking time..." you grumble out to the man twenty feet ahead of you "Are we doing it here or shall we go someplace else?"

Silence.

Nothing but silence in the shade...
