Anna's Date: Part Two

Laura was waiting for Anna at the top of the stairs. Even forewarned the sight of her ex now a good foot taller than her was startling, though having gotten used to Shar's even taller form oddly enough helped. She wasn't wearing her jacket, just a black denim shirt and jeans, odd the lack of jacket like she was trying to be intentionally ****. Or maybe to show she felt ****? Yeah Laura thought, the later sounded right.

"Welcome to my gilded gage." Laura jokingly greeted her ex girlfriend, trying to keep things light at least at first.

"Well this looks better than the first floor."

"Yeah, and the bedrooms even better. Guess there's no point working on a room that's mostly Moongate."

"Yeah that makes sense." Anna made her way over to the couch at a gesture from Laura, both of them sitting awkwardly next each other on the sectional.

"Look there's no easy way to say this." Laura began "I really screwed up and I'm sorry. I thought a clean break would be best but I really should have talked things out with you instead of deciding for us."

"Yeah, talking things out would have been better but maybe you were right about a clean break too. I'd like to think things would have worked out but I can't know that we wouldn't have still broken things off and maybe in a way that would have hurt much worse. I heard how you cut all your social life out to concentrate on classes, and am really not surprised given how driven you were in high school."

"I still managed to make time for Candy, I could have for you as well. Should have for you as well."

"Knowing Candy she didn't give you much choice." They both laughed at that, the tension draining from the room.

Laura took Anna's hands in her own "We have a chance for a fresh start here, if you want. I don't want to see you hurt and am willing to do what I can to keep you from getting eliminated regardless."

Anna pulled Laura close and enveloped her in a huge hug "I'm willing. I haven't been close to anyone since you left. I think a part of me was always waiting for you to come back. Though perhaps not quite like this." They laughed again, this time in each others arms. "Now why don't you show me around?"

Laura leaned back smiling, looking deep into Anna's golden brown eyes "As you wish."

Candy swept into the huge gym with Susan and the twins in tow, the later two only after she'd threatened to pull them in by their ears otherwise. Years of being babysat by the blonde next door having instilled in them a respect for her authority they grudgingly agreed. Susan assumed this was part of Candy taking her turn to milk her, just about everyone else had at this point, so while curious why she was dragging the twins in as well wasn't complaining.

Candy opened the door that was in the wall around from the lockers and bathrooms exposing a large walk in shower. "Aha! I thought there had to be one of these in here somewhere!"

"Huh" Tracy grunted "I figured this was just a janitors closet or something though I guess that doesn't make much sense here."

Susan was less impressed with the big walk in shower than she was the rest of the gym. "I think that's just about every work out machine possible, and maybe even a few improbable."

"I don't even know what most of those are for." Stacy agreed.

"Okay!" Candy clapped her hands to get everyone's attention again "Back to the lockers and time to strip down!"

"Not that I need an excuse to get naked but you want to explain what this is all about Candy?" Tracy asked.

"Simple, we have a bunch of needs to take care of and this is an efficient way to go about it."
