Anime Section

The Anime section was filled with your average weeb fans whose grasp of Japanese stemmed from can phrases like thank you for the food and exclamations of kawaii. The cosplayers were the a cut above the rest, because even if they were fanboys or fangirls they turned that passion into art. Or in some cases eye candy, but what is art if not food for the eyes, he thought. He walked around hoping that one of the cosplayers would notice him. ConGoer69 knew his face so maybe she'd reach out first.

He felt a tap on the shoulder and turned around to see a purple haired beauty from one of his favorite shows, "Hey, man. Could you help me out?"

"Sure. With what?"

"My photographer friend forgot today was the Con and overslept. I have to bounce in a bit, but if you could take some photos of me with my phone, it won't be a total loss."

John nodded and took her phone, she posed a few times and he managed to get her good side as much as he could. After about an hour of setting up shots and taking them he gave her back her phone.

"Thank you so much!" She said, "Listen, I am done with the con around 6pm do you want to get drinks later?"

"Yeah that'd be awesome," John said.

"There is a pub two blocks over near main street. You can't miss it, I'll meet you outside."

As John was about to leave the hall a woman ran right into him. They both fell over in a clumsy fashion."Oh no!" a sweet voice said, "I'm so sorry! Are you okay?"

John looked up to see a green sailor school girl uniform and woman with lovely brunette hair.

"Its alright," John said, "I've gotten used to it... Sailor Jupiter right?"

"Yeah! You are the first person to recognize it!"

"You are shitting me?"

"Yes," She chuckled, "But you are the first guy who hasn't tried to flip my skirt as soon as I was in arm's reach."

"Sorry to hear. Alright if I get a picture?"

"Sure thing," She said as she got into a sailor scout pose. John pulled out his phone, it was smashed to bits.

"Fuck!"

"Shit! I'll make it up to you. I've got the cash to replace it, would you meet me around here at 6pm, my wallets in a locker at the moment."

"Sure, its fine though, I needed to get a new one anyway."

"See you at 6pm" she said, giving John a peck on the cheek.

John sat down at the entrance to the Anime hall as he caught his breath drinking a bit of water from a plastic cup. He had satdown next to a woman in a blue dress.

"Having fun?" She asked.

"I'm not much a con goer..." John said, "I can barely recognize half of these cosplays."

"Can you recognize mine?" She said, standing up.

"Its an anime right...?"

"Yeah, sort of..."

"Katara?" John said, "But Avatar isn't an anime? Is it?"

"You got it!" She beamed.

"I tried telling the convention staff I should be in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy section with the other western media stuff, but they kept insisting that Avatar was anime. Something to do with the asian influences, but I really know what they were trying to do."

"What was that?"

"Keep all the 'Kid Shows' together."

"Ah," John said, "Sorry about that, but what can you do. Anyway I've got a head-"

"What's the hurry?" She said placing an arm on his shoulder. "You look like you were looking for someone, do you mind if I ask who?"

"Its nothing, I think I found her."

"Oh so you have a girlfriend!"

"Well not exactly-"

"Then you wouldn't mind meeting with me back here around 6pm then?"

"I don't have a choice do I?"

"I mean you have a choice, but is it the right one? That's up to you."

John left the hall, he only had a short time left to meet one of the three women who he met at the Anime hall. But which one? They can't all be ConGoer69. Maybe none of them are.
