Anger and Ethics

Rachel Fellows was having anger issues at work. She had graduated at the top of her class in business school and received a full ride to get her MBA. The problem was not her brains, but her belief she was smarter than everyone and having a short fuse.

The large investment bank she worked with liked the fact she knew her stuff but knew her anger was alienating her co-workers and even a few clients, so they sent her to a therapist. It just so happened, the therapist went to the same college and was in the same fraternity as two of Rachel's co-workers who did not get along with her. They did not like her, and the feeling was mutual.

Rachel came by Dr. Thomas Reynolds's office Saturday morning as he agreed to see her outside of regular work hours. He put Rachel into a very deep trance, a hypnosis technique he developed where he could implant any triggers, even triggers a normal hypno-therapist could not.

"Rachel, can you hear me?"

She nodded.

"Good, Monday morning, you'll put on your sexiest bra and panties combo and fix your hair and make-up as if you were going out on a hot date. Whenever Max Wilson or Henry Rogers ask you to do something, you'll do it without question and if it were a perfectly normal request. Understand?"

She nodded.

"Any time you feel yourself getting angry at work you'll suck your thumb and pat your head until you calm down. You know that was your idea and you insisted I let you try it. Anything odd you do or happens at work to you has nothing to do with me."
