Anger All Around

"You bitch!!!" you hear Ashe scream out when you finally exit the door and see your red headed High Commander making her way over towards the table both her and Karisi were just sitting at, "How fucking dare you!!!" she wails again, stomping her feet step after step.

"A-Ashe?!" Karisi looks at her, dropping the document in her hands as she begins to stand up. As she does, the chair behind her falls over on the floor but it doesn't faze her. Curious why Ashe is suddenly being so aggressive she connects with her eyes as she marches towards the Queen.

"All this fucking time?!" Ashe begins, stepping closer and closer, "All this fucking time you lied to everybody! You lied to the Syndicate! You lied to me!!!" she yells out, finally stepping in close towards the Queen.

"A-Ashe..What are you.."

"You tried to kill him?!" her hands go out, pointing at your body as you exit the chamber room. At the same time, Ashe uses her other hand and pushes Karisi in the chest to cause her to bobble a few steps back, "You funded the assassination and then you plotted to kill him?!"

"Ashe!" you exclaim out, trying to get closer to the two ladies before they rip each other's heads off.

"And after you shot him, you took advantage of me?!" Ashe is pissed, "For the entire fucking time he was out, the entire fucking time he was unconscious!" she rages out, "I trusted you, I put my faith in you, I did what I could to make sure you would be loved by the Syndicate and holy fucking shit!!!" she yells out loud, her voice carrying through the Throne Room, "Every single night when we would stay up late, trying to figure out what happened to Darien and you would send me to go on these wild goose chases and the entire time, holy shit the entire fucking time you were just lying behind my back!" she wails.

It was tough to see Ashe like this, you knew she was feisty, could get worked up, somewhat aggressive and would always put her foot down, but to truly see her this pissed off because a so-called friend of hers betrayed her, stabbed her in the back and tried to take advantage of her, it made you feel not so great. Truth be told, you were just as pissed off with Karisi when you learned of this information, it's the main reason you hung Hawk up over The Pit and let him drop to his death, but you never expected Ashe to be this angry as you thought she'd only rage at you for a little bit before calming down.

With another push on Karisi's chest, you eventually step forward and grip Ashe's arms, making sure she can't continue to stay aggressive on the Queen. "Ashe, come on, no need to get physical..." you groan out into her ear but she's still having none of it.

"I fucking trusted you!!!" Ashe wails out, angry as can be, "I took you under my wing, I fought for you, I defended you, I did fucking everything!" she exclaims again, the passion booming in her voice, "Even after so many Sunriders, so many Warriors, so many Sicilians said you were a scumbag Rathkin bitch I still defended you and trusted you because Darien gave you his word!" she puffs out, the rage exiting her body, "And boy was I wrong, holy shit I was so very wrong, you're nothing but a god damn lying son of a fucking Rathkin whore!!!" she yells out, slamming her fists onto the table where the two of them were only recently seated.

"A-Ashe..stop, you need to cal..." you try to get out but Karisi was quick to the punch.

"Fine, you want me to say it?" Karisi steps forward, glaring at the red head but not backing down one bit, matching her anger with some of her own, "Yes, I formed an alliance with Edmin and placed a bounty on Darien's head," she takes another step forward, only a foot away from the red head as she jams her index finger into her own chest, pointing at herself, "I conspired with Hawk to have Darien get shot and lastly, I lied straight to you, to Lexie, to Zoe to all the civilians and warriors the entire time Darien was unconscious and even afterwards!" her body is almost panting with rage at this point.

"You're pathetic!" Ashe spats back, snarling her teeth angrily back at the Queen.

"Pathetic, huh?!" Karisi laughs sarcastically, "Pathetic? You know where I came from and look how far I've come. I've had to do everything on my own, no family, no parents, no friends, everything all my fucking self! Not like you, who can just learn to fight and your damn city loves you to death. The Syndicate loves their female warriors and gives them so much respect and honor but from Rathkin?" she huffs out, "No fucking way. Men rule Rathkin for the most part, or at least did and the only job for a women was to get knocked up and have children for the big old strong Rathkin men!"

"You only made it this far by lying, cheating and fucking over every single one of your friends! No fucking wonder you were able to run here to the Syndicate and leave everything behind because you had no one at Rathkin to leave!" Ashe is fuming at this point, "Even your fucking father, a person who is basically forced to love you no matter what didn't want anything to do with you!!"

That was a cheap shot and something you didn't really expect to come out of Ashe's mouth. Karisi's body took a step back and her mouth drops open, slightly shocked the high commander would go that far and by the reaction of Ashe, you assume she didn't intent to, nor mean it completely.

"K-Karisi, I didn't mean..." Ashe tries to change her words but she gets interrupted as Karisi just holds her hand up towards her face, showing her the palm of her hand to shush her.

"Listen, Ashe..." Karisi composes herself, taking a few deep breaths to calm her body down, "You helped me so much here in the Syndicate and never asked for anything else in return and for that, I am grateful. At the time though, I didn't know you very well so it was easy for me to lie and keep you in the dark. After that, the lies just kept going deeper and deeper and I felt lost, too far gone to come clean at that point and when Darien found out about it." she looks at you and gives a nod, "I honestly thought I was going to die that day and seeing how mad he was from what I did, I couldn't bring myself to telling you either because I knew you'd feel the same way."

"Karisi..." Ashe tries again only to get shushed by the Queen again, it appears both the girls are starting to simmer down a little bit.

"I've been alone my whole life, constantly fighting for myself, nobody there to watch my back so yeah, leaving Rathkin to come north was easy as I wasn't leaving anyone behind. I am sorry for lying, especially to you Ashe because you did so much for me. I don't expect you to forgive me and if you want to stay mad at me, I understand, but truly Ashe, I am sorry." her voice sounding so sincere.

Ashe just huffs and puffs a little bit, still letting her words sink in, "You have friends now, people who will watch your back, that will care and worry for you and that will do whatever it takes to help you out in a time of need. I'm sorry for blowing up on you and saying what I said, I should have taken a few minutes to collect my thoughts instead of allowing my anger to explode out on you."

"What you said is true," Karisi purses her lips, giving the Sunrider a knowing look, "I've lied, cheated, stolen and screwed you all over and for that I am sorry. It's hard for me to let people into my life because I've never had that luxury before. Gold and power can get you a lot of great things in this world, but friends you can trust isn't one of them."

You stood there, watching these two ladies in your life go from ready to tear each others head's off to now calming down and apologizing towards one another. It wasn't how you expected everything to go but it appears that it should work out fine in the end. "Aww, you two are great! Come on, hug it out!" you grin, happy they are working it out. Both Ashe and Karisi turn their heads, squint their eyes and almost glare at you, "Hey hey, just saying." you hold your hands up in surrender, "No need to give me those death stares!"

"I'm still mad at her," Ashe begins, talking to you, "But I understand why she did it and I hope she realizes that I will always have her back moving forward."

"She does." Karisi replies, talking about herself in third person, "And she appreciates everything you've ever done."

Ashe turns to the Queen, "I'm sorry about what I said in regards to your father, that was low and uncalled for."

"Eh..." Karisi shrugs, "You're right though, I am quite the bitch sometimes." she gives a friendly wink back, "But you know what this needs, Ashe?"

"Wine." Ashe immediately replies, "Lots and lots of wine."

"Couldn't agree more!"

"Let's get outta here." Ashe and Karisi both turn around and make their way to the exit of the Throne Room.

Women surprise you all the time with how they can go from so angry and ready to kill each other to going out and grabbing drinks only minutes later. You knew Ashe and Karisi were the two more mature women in your life so the fact they can rage, apologize, suck it up and get back to being friends was quite amazing. You stand there for just a moment, watching the two ladies walk stride by stride and can't help but grin, happy to have them in your life and even happier that they appear to be civil with one another again, "H-Hey! Wait up!" you yell out before you jog up to the ladies, "I'll take some wine too!"
