What does Andrew do?
Andrew confirms Charlene's biases
Andrew took a deep breath before he stepped into the living room.
‘I’m gonna have to pull something Oscar-worthy out my ass’, he though as he approached Charlene.
“Mommy? I’m like really really sorry. It’s all just so scary and I didn’t want to upset you and I just hate hate HATE being a boy so much and I-I—“, Andrea choked out, increasing the sorrowfulness of ‘her’ tone till ‘she’ burst out crying.
Like a curse was lifted, Charlene snapped out of her miasma and started to bawl with her ‘daughter’, consoling ‘her’ like she had done only a few hours ago.
“Shhh, shhh, it’s okay baby, mommy’s here, everything’s gonna be okay…”, Charlene reassured her now confirmed ‘daughter’.
Strangely enough, as ‘she’ cried with ‘her’ mother, Andrea felt a deep kinship with her like ‘she’ never had before, as if they were now on the same plane of understanding.
Several minutes later, they managed to cease their tears and at Charlene’s request re-applied their makeup together.
Charlene called Doctor Jacobson and apologised for missing their appointment, citing a burst pipe in their house, and asked if she was still available.
