Peggy, Emily, and I headed down to the lobby, where several other teams had already gathered. Cassidy Smoak waved at me from across the lobby, and blew me a kiss.

I grinned at her, and I turned my head towards Emily. She was smiling up at me. Natalie walked out and held up 10 papers.

“Teams, each of you come up and grab one of these!” she called to the congregation in the lobby. Peggy walked up to grab it, and Emily turned towards me.

“Alright, are we sticking together or breaking apart?” Emily asked.

“What? We just got back together.” I said, confused.

“Huh? Oh, I meant for the scavenger hunt, stupid!” Emily huffed and swatted my arm.

“Oh. I dunno. I guess we can split up.” I shrugged.

“Sounds good. Look at this list!” Peggy groaned. She thrust it out, and I took it.

“Jeez.” Emily said, looking at it from beside me. They were some complicated items, and there were a LOT of them. Cassidy walked up to me, and kissed me passionately.

“Wanna team up?” she smiled warmly.

“Cross-teaming isn’t allowed!” Natalie called. I wrapped my arms around Cassie and kissed her heatedly before Maria Torres shouted at Cassidy to get her ass in gear.

Apologetically, Cassidy jogged after Maria and Angela, her team.

Emily looked a little flushed when I glanced at her.

I walked down the fourth floor, looking hard for the potted plant I needed. As I was doing that, one door opened (403) and out walked a completely unfamiliar girl.

She was gorgeous, though.

“Hi.” I nodded politely as I walked past. Then, I hesitated. I turned back to her.

“Hey, out of curiosity, do you know where I can find a potted plant?” I asked. The girl laughed.

“Scavenger hunt, huh? My sister went to do that. I’m Jasmine Avesta.” the girl smiled at me.

“Cole Campbell. Much as I’d love to talk, I really do have to go.” I apologized. Jasmine laughed and wrapped an arm around my neck, and guided me back into her apartment. She pointed at a potted plant in the corner of her living room.

“That work for you, Cole?” Jasmine asked throatily. I nodded, and quickly snapped a picture of it. I turned back to Jasmine, who held up her phone for a selfie. I chuckled and smiled at the camera, as Jasmine kissed my cheek while pushing the camera button.

“Thanks, Cole. That’s a good picture.” Jasmine smiled.

“No problem. And if you ever need anything, let me know.” I said, and gave Jasmine my number.

Then, I headed out of her apartment and got back to work.

I rejoined Emily and Peggy in the lobby. We’d each gotten our portion of the list, but we weren’t the first team back.

“Alright, we have our winner! Our winning team is Iris Williams, Jesse Winter, and Adrianne Avesta!” Natalie announced. They cheered and most of us clapped. Emily threaded her fingers with mine, hidden between our thighs which were nearly touching on the couch we sat on.

After the hunt, Natalie and I headed inside our apartment, and saw a surprising visitor.
