An unexpected hug

Xavier turned his attention away from her body, having noticed he was staring. He took the bouquet from Yuni, smiling lightly at her.

As soon as he took the bouquet, Yuni grabbed him and pulled him into a hug. She laid her head on his shoulder, holding onto him tightly.

Xavier just stood there for a moment, confused at the suddenness. He could feel her breasts pressing into his chest, but didn't say anything so as to not drive her away. Wrapping his arms around her, he hugged her back.

For a few moments, Xavier didn't notice the soft cries coming from Yuni. He pulled back when he did, looking at Yuni as she tries to hide it.

"Yuni. What's wrong?" Xavier asked, softly wiping away a tear. Yuni keeps crying, pulling away from Xavier.

"Why won't you..." she mumbles under her breath, the sobbing only making it harder to understand.

"Why won't I what?" Xavier asked as he realized he was the one that had made her cry.

"Why won't you love me!" she screams as she turns and glares at him. "For the past two years you have come and gone from Talach. Every time I fell in love with you, hoped you would stay with me. But then you would leave again. Every time, my heart broke to watch you leave through the town gates," she cries, sniffling as she tries to stop. She pushed him back, hard enough for him to hit a tree and be dazed. She turned and ran back towards the village.

Xavier was surprised that she had these feelings. He had noticed that every time he was in Talach, she dropped everything and would hang out with him. Now that he thought about it, she had always tried to show him she loved him. From the hugs, to the kisses on the cheek, to even the time he woke up to find her snuggled against him. He had just thought it was her programming to act like a young lovable girl.

The dazed feeling finally wore away, and Xavier stood up. Making his way back to Talach, he started to think about Yuni and how he should apologize. He made his way to the tavern, hoping to find her there. He walked in, and immediately noticed the place was empty. He made his way to the bar, confused on why the tavern was empty. It was never empty.

Grigor stood at the counter, a distraught look on his face. As soon as Xavier was close enough, the ringing sound played through the tavern. Immediately, Xavier knew he was about to get a quest.
