An ornate balcony overlooking a large court

You cautiously peer through the doorframe. Although you are trying to be optimistic that this will lead you to safety, you can't be completely sure. You see a short stone hallway. Holding your torch down, you slowly creep through the hallway, and on the other side, you can make out the columns of what appears to be an intricate stone balcony.

From what you can see so far, this balcony looks over a huge room. The largest single rooms you've ever seen before were from the barns on your family farm, and this room looks to be hundreds of times larger. The light seems to get moderately brighter in the room, so you set your torch down against the wall in order to remain inconspicuous. You think you can hear some human sounds, and you don't yet want your presence known.

Exiting the small hallway cautiously, you realize your impressions to be true. You are on a small balcony overlooking a gigantic room. You first gaze at the domed ceiling. It is more intricate stonework; foriegn glyphs and intricate geometric designs fill every inch. You then look horizontally. You can see small balconies identical to the one you are on around the perimeter of the entire room. Each balcony is surrounded by three large burning sconces. You assume that these balconies and catwalks are just access paths for accessing and maintaining the huge torches. You also now more clearly hear what you heard before. It sounds like a cacophony of movement and... Groans? You can't quite put your finger on what you're hearing.

You creep further forward on the balcony, and peer down to the floor of the room. You gasp quietly at what you see. Large pyres throughout the room illuminate a surprising sight. Dozens of naked young women and men in cloaks are taking part in an immense orgy! Raised stone slabs litter the room, most being used to facilitate the different sexual activities and positions. From what you can make out, each woman is wearing only an identical collar, and all the men are wearing dark crimson hooded robes. You only see their arms, legs, and lower torsos sticking out. There is a frenzy of sexual activity going on. To your virgin eyes, it's extremely overwhelming. You see one girl on her back, her neck bent over backwards, and a robed man thrusting into her mouth. Meanwhile, a man at the other end of the slab thrusts in and out of her, roughly squeezing and slapping her breasts. Another girl is on her knees, surrounded by a circle of 5 men. She takes turns servicing two of them with her hands, and one with her mouth, rapidly and eagerly switching partners. Another girl is mounted atop a man lying on one of the slabs, while another man thrusts into what you assume is her ass... Everywhere you look, every sex act you could believe is taking place.

Trying to come to terms with what you've seen, you take note of what else you see in the room. There are several doorways in the court below, scattered symmetrically around the outside wall. Drapes and tapestries hang over most of the walls. However, the centerpiece of the room is a large statue on the opposite wall. You can't be positive from this distance, but from here, it looks like another statue of the scary-looking woman you passed on the way in here. Surrounding the statue, there is a large pool, possibly a fountain. The water contained within looks red for some reason. Maybe you are just too far away to see it clearly.

You pull back from the edge of the balcony and collect your thoughts. Who are these people? Are the women prisoners? They seem to be enjoying the spectacle well enough. Is there some more sinister purpose to this cult-like debauchery, or are they just having fun? Either way, disrupting their... Activities doesn't seem like it will help your situation. You need to decide how to proceed from here.
