An old photo of Gam Gam

Adrianna was looking for an old box of clothes that she was going to donate to the local thrift store and instead found an old box of photos. She smiled as she saw pictures of herself when she was child and even when her parents were a younger couple. As she got deeper in the box, she saw pictures of her parents when they were kids and her grandparents were about her parent’s age in the picture. It was so sweet to see how much she looked like her mom when she was her age and how her dad looked so much different without any facial hair on his baby face. She got even deeper and found picture of her grandparents in their youth and she could have sworn she had been in the picture with how much she was the spitting of her grandmother. She wasn’t ready to see a picture of her grandmother sitting on a playground bar…completely naked.

Her hair was puffed out and she didn’t even have shoes on. Adrianna questioned why she was naked and who had taken this photo. A quick five minute drive and she was at her grandparents home. Her granddad was out moving the lawn as he stopped and smiled to say, “Well hello there, Addy! What a pleasant surprise.” He opted for a five high of his granddaughter as he was pretty sweaty.

“Hiya Pop pop! Is Gam Gam home?” She asked as she hoped she was to help explain the procure.

“Oh she should be in the kitchen. She was making her world famous lemon bars so hopefully you brought an appetite.”

“Oh I definitely brought an appetite,” she said as she headed inside and wanted answers but a lemon bar would also be amazing to nom on as well. She quickly made her way to the kitchen and said, “Hiya Gam Gam! It smells delicious in here.”

“Oh hiya to you too Addy! Seems like you came over at the perfect time!” She said pulling out the hot racks of lemon bars. She began to put them on the cooling wracks as she hummed a song that Adrianna didn’t recognize. “I’m assuming you came for other reasons besides lemon bars, kiddo.”

She fiddled in the seat as she reached for the photo and said, “I really want to know the story behind this picture . I found this in an old box of photos in the attic while I was looking for a box of old clothes.” She handed her the photo as her grandmother laughed hysterically as she placed it on the countertop.

“Well that’s a picture I wasn’t expecting to ever see again, Addy. Are you sure this isn’t a picture of you?” She asked jokingly as they both chuckled. “How about I give you a lemon bar and then I can give you the full story of why your Gam Gam was taking naked pictures?” Adrianna quietly nodded as her grandmother but a warm lemon bar into front of her as her grandmother took a seat next to her. “So let me take you back to my yesteryears when I was an adventurous youth…”
