Chapter 47 by Frigus
Emergency situation? What is it? Looters? Drunk soldiers? Pissed-off Athenapolis nobles?
An invasion from an unknown party
"What is it? Are we under attack?" You ask incredulously, surely no one would be stupid enough to **** this neighborhood filled with Coalition army soldiers and allies, high walls notwithstanding.
"Yes, we are, Milord! A group of unknown soldiers seem to be marching towards this neighborhood. Neither me nor Nikos are able to identify who they are, but we are sure they are neither Athenapolis soldiers nor the Coalition's." Yiannis reports.
"Curse it." You grunt in annoyance at this sudden development. Logically no army can just appear out of thin air, but you have seen more than enough times of a sudden third party sweeping down on an unsuspecting battlefield to devour the exhausted men there and loot all their belongings. Hell, you have been a part of such third party more than a few times yourself. Bruce of Kalion had stubbornly maintained his neutrality since his pretentious arrival, was he finally making his move? Perhaps one of the independent mercenary commanders?
As you run down the list in your head as to who can be responsible of such a surprise attack, you bark an order to your new subordinate. "Get Yiannis here and arm yourselves with how you see fit from this room! If those vultures decide to act now then it means the time for negotiation has gone long past. They are here to destroy both Athenapolis and the Coalition and take everything."
"As you command, Milord!" Yiannis replies before he runs away to follow your order.
Dropping down the saddle, you turn to Relia and then to the Drakon armor on the armor stand. "Do you know how to put on an armor?"
"Y-yes." Relia answered, snapped out of her stupor from Yiannis' sudden news. "My father taught me how to. Something that will be useful when I am married, he would say."
Snorting, you comment. "And once again the old man has proven his foresight." Going to the armor stand, you strip from your current clothes. "Quick, help me get into this armor. Gods know one can never be too prepared when facing the vultures."
Obeying you, Relia walks to your side and deftly helps you get into the Drakon armor. Functionally, it is worn no different than how one wears a leather armor, or perhaps one of those fancy scale mails, but obviously the protection it offers is completely above a normal leather armor. First the armor, then comes the gauntlets and greaves. Even in such a tense situation though, you can't help but to crack a joke.
"It would be nice if you can teach our daughters about this in the future. It will be better if they know more than just spreading their legs for their brothers after all." You joke as you pinch a nipple, drawing a moan from the constantly aroused sex ****.
"What is it, Master? Do you want to use my cunt as a good luck charm?" Relia asks seductively as she shows her pussy, stepping back once you both are done with the armor.
"Not now. I will have all the time in the world to pump kid after kid into that pretty cunt once we are done with this." You grin back as you then look all over yourself. The armor feels snug on your body, as well as the gauntlets and the greaves.
Going to the weapon racks, you grab a new bow and quiver, filling it with dozens of arrows, as well as a sword before lifting up the saddle again. You prefer using bow and arrow to a sword, especially atop Swiftwing, but with a large number of weapons here and the unknown invaders, it will not hurt to be fully prepared. Leaving the armory, you and Relia run past Nikos and Yiannis, along with their respective slaves, probably having the same idea as you that having someone to help with wearing the armor is easier than not. Nikos gives you a firm nod, while Yiannis gives a more unsure one, as they enter the armory.
Arriving before the gate to the mansion, you notice Xenophilus standing atop the walls.
"Xenophilus, can you identify who are attacking us at the moment?"
Turning to look at you, Xenophilus has never looked this shaken even though you have only known the butler for a short time. "L-Lord Korban, t-those are..."

From the walls you see what has the man so shaken. The beasts look like a cross between dogs and wild men, the pack moves in semierect postures, stopping to sniff the air and then leaping forward in great bounds.
Are you detected, or do the beasts pass by your walled estate and look for easier prey?
