An elemental addition

You sit in the meeting room at the arrival center, having been told by Rachel and Maya that they would go get the girl Maya had been talking to. They both assured you that this girl is a good fit for your group, both in personality and in her abilities. The pair walked out, smiling and chatting, leaving you to wait.

You left the other girls at home, everyone agreeing not to overwhelm the new girl. After all, it was you that Maya had been talking up. Maya and Rachel hadn’t steered you wrong yet anyway.

Lost in your thoughts, you’re a bit startled when Maya bounces back into the room. “Are you ready, my Josh? She’s here!”

You hear a musical giggle from the hallway, and a cool breeze sweeps in, followed by a vision in blue and white.

She is stunning, with light blue skin, flowing blue hair, and sparkling blue eyes. Her lithe body is barely covered by white cloth, held in place with bronze jewelry. As she moves towards you, she almost seems to dance, and her hair and clothes are constantly flowing, as if teased by the wind that seems to flow around her. With a confident smile, she sways her way over beside you, grabbing a chair and gracefully sitting, delicately placing a hand upon yours.

With a breathy, melodious voice, she speaks. “Hello Josh, my name is Sadie. I’ve heard so much about you! Maya has told me a lot, but seeing you in person is so much better. In case you’re wondering, I am a djinn, an air elemental. Rachel told me that you’re a mage, and Maya says you have a lot of fun adventures! I would love to join your little family, Josh, if you’ll have me. It’s sooo boring waiting here for someone interesting...”

You’re a bit taken aback by her abrupt speech, and you’re even more surprised when she slides closer and whispers in your ear. “Maya also told me that we can have a lot of fun in bed together. I think you should bring me home so I can show you what I can do...”

Seeing your blush, Maya and Rachel burst out laughing. Rachel speaks up. “Sadie, I know you’re excited, but no need to scare the poor man! Josh, djinn, like a lot of elemental spirits, are very energetic and playful. Sadie is teasing you, but she told me that you interest her. She’s a nice girl, despite her little act here.”

Sadie makes a pouty face and sticks her tongue out at Rachel. “Aww, you’re no fun! Maya and I had this all planned out. Oh well...” She puts her arms around you and snuggles close. You can feel the slight breeze flowing around her as she smiles at you. “So, what do you think? Can I hang out with you? Or am I too much for you, big guy?”

Before you can answer, Rachel speaks up again. “Sadie can help you as well. Djinn are fairly strong mages, and the two of you will grow in strength together.”

You nod. “That’s good to know, but doesn’t really affect my position. Sadie, of course you are welcome to come home with us. If Maya thinks you’re a good person, that’s good enough for me.”

Sadie leaps from her chair into your lap, hugging you tightly. You’re surprised by how light she is, but her excitement is infectious. You laugh as she bounces in your lap, this girl is like Maya dialed up to 11! You put your hands on her hips to hold her still, and she surprises you again by planting a kiss on your lips. You gently disengage, and a glance surprises a tear in the corner of her eye. “Welcome to our silly little family, Sadie. We can talk some more in private, it’s obvious there’s more going on here. But for now, let’s get you home and introduce you to the girls.”

Sadie smiles and nods happily, and you gently lift the djinn off your lap. You stand and take her hand, hearing her breath catch slightly at the gesture. Maya bounces over and takes your other hand, smiling at Sadie.
