An elderly mind
The next couple days passed without incident. Not that Mabelle wanted anything big to really happen during that time. If it had, it would likely put her plans into jeopardy.
Instead, Mabelle spent a good chunk of time in her room. Not because she didn't want to go out or the weather being awful. Far from it, in fact. No, her
"My name is Mabelle. I'm a retired coordinator who is content to live a less stressful life." Mabelle told herself, doing her best to forget the person she used to be. A monumental task in itself, on top of something creating an entirely new history for herself. Yet, the elderly coordinator felt up to the task.
"I come from Kalos, land of beauty and grace." she continued, trying her hardest to believe the things she was saying. Initially, it didn't sound genuine in the slightest. But with each repetition, the identity that she had once held faded away.
"I rocked the contest circuit in my youth, but I no longer have an interest in that stuff in my age."
Letting out a breath, Mabelle downed a glass of water. While the elderly voice was now as natural as it could get here, that didn't change the fact that extended use strained it. Yet, the progress was obvious. All the more reason to take the next step.
On one hand, going on her own would allow for maximum control. On the other hand, getting Caroline and/or Carol's help was bound to make things easier when it came to making decisions that would lead her further down this path. Decisions, decisions...
