An Even Grander Throne Room

Beyond the doors was a grand throne room. A large carpet led from the door towards a large throne. On both sides of the carpet were men in full suits of armour. These armoured men weren't facing towards me, but instead were holding back a small crowd of men and women who looked at us with excitement and hushed whispers.

Looking towards the throne again I saw an old man surrounded by 3 women seated on it looking at us with a big grin. "Ah the guests of honour have arrived!" he proclaimed while holding his arms outstretched towards us. The old man was dressed pretty much exactly how you would imagine a king in some fantasy video game to be dressed, complete with a crown and more jeweled rings than one might consider necessary.

One of the women was leaning on the throne from his left side while whispering something to the king before she stood up and looked towards us. She was dressed more elegantly than the other two women with a deep purple dress that used a crinoline to show off the intricate embroidery on the skirt; her corset really accentuated her... assets? She wore a small silver crown atop her head and it really complimented her dark hair.

The woman on the left of the throne was wearing a looser fit green dress. She had hair the colour of the sun and appeared younger with less... assets (?) than the other two. I thought is saw her frowning before we entered but now she has a smile that only someone who has worked years in retail could make.

The woman on the right of the throne looked to be the oldest of the three. Wearing a more revealing dress with a deep V neck and had a skirt that was shorter and ended just above her knees. Even without a corset her assets were far more obvious than the woman leaning over the throne. Her silver hair seemed to reflect the light far easier than the other two, and her face held a firm scowl aimed towards our group.

Stepping further into the room I noticed that there are 4 people standing in front of the throne, each appearing to specialize in some form of skill.

After what felt like ages we made it to the throne and stood before it.

The king stood up and walked close to us, I thought for a moment that now would be a great time to try and kill the king. I guess the king isnt too cautious about us.

"Thank you heroes for answering our call! Our kingdom is being overrun by monsters and we prayed to the goddess for an answer and she gave us a shield to protect us, but what of our neighbours? For this she has called you here." the king seemed to have been explaining your arrival, but he was looking more to the crowd, almost like we were a spectacle for the audience.

"I know that you must have a lot of questions; come, let us talk in private." He then ushered us to another room hidden behind the throne.
