An Ectonurite.

Ectonurites were unusual creatures to say the least. They were not alive not like others beings. In fact one could argue they were merely alien like ghosts that just existed with minute traces of DNA to give them any shape and form. They were a rare breed. Some argued they were nothing more than the boogeymen of the stars, others merely just dismissed them as false information.

Yet someone had done it. It had been unintentional though. The researchers hadn't meant to stumble upon it but they did. You see these Ectonurites were...**** to sunlight. It burnt them and in some cases killed them. A very deadly weakness as it meant they had to constantly hide from any source of sunlight, hiding during the day on some normal planets and only thriving in those shrouded in absolute darkness.

Luckily they had a developed a rather easy way of working around it. They had for all intents and purposes learnt to possess other beings. There bodies were already made of a semi tangible matter, it took very little effort for them enter another being and just as much effort to take them over.

This particular Ectonurite, Ghostfreak had been ready to escape with one of the researchers as a puppet but unfortunately some fool let out a deadly virus and all them died. The AI had managed to contain and neutralize the threat but that just left Ghostfreak trapped in here...forever.

Or so he thought. He watched his savior walk down the halls from within the walls. He couldn't have believed his luck. He knew of the legendary bounty hunter but he never expected he'd actually meet her. He had to resist to laugh with glee. If there was ever anyone suited to be his host, it was her.

Not wanting to waste any more time, he quickly rushed towards her.
