An Early Start

As you awoke you could feel a small weight on your chest looking down you could see Harmony’s golden locks of hair lying on your chest. You smiled as you reflected on Roh'demus’s words from the night before. Looking up you could see it was still very dark outside. Reluctantly you quietly as possible switched places with a pillow laying Harmony down on a pillow instead.

Stroking her hair you could see a happy smile as she slept on. Pulling the covers up over her you kissed her forehead before leaving your girlfriend alone. You sighed as you realized you had forgotten to ask Harmony to pack some clothes for you and you didn’t really have a change of clothes on hand.

As you contemplated your next move. You could feel a warmth in your pocket and curious you withdrew the black book from the void. The book immediately floated in front if you rapidly turning pages before landing on a blank page. Looking it over the pages began filling with purple runic symbols before falling into your hands.

Confused but curious you quietly recited runic symbols out loud gesturing your wand like the book instructed before you recited the last words. Looking around you saw a small tear in reality it appeared and looking in saw your dorm room. Reaching through the tear you soon stepped in finding yourself back in the dorm. Not one to question magical books of knowledge you quickly drew up a new set of casual clothes before stepping back through the tear before it closed right behind you.

After a quick shower and changing of clothes you studied the book in the rising sun’s light analyzing the book from basic void infused runes to what caught your attention the most, harnessing pure void magic. According the book this entire time no one in the history magic had ever properly channeled the void a common mistake that even your own predecessors failed to notice and that there was a way to take pure void energy in its most raw and unstable form and then refine it into pure stable and powerful void magic.

As you continued to read the book you felt a set of soft arms in a soft silk fabric wrap around your neck before a familiar scent of strawberries filled your nostrils. Looking over your shoulder you could see Harmony’s brown eyes staring back at you in amusement before she reached over taking the black book straight from your hands. “I know studying is important but can’t we just enjoy ourselves during this mini vacation without studying this weird book?” Harmony said.

You chuckled taking the book from Harmony before replying. “Don’t worry I don’t plan on wasting our small vacation Harmony I just wanted to look it over honest!” You replied. Harmony locked eyes with you searching for any signs of deception before satisfied she handed the black book over to you once again. “I will hold you to that mister.” Harmony said as she left your room. As she walked out the door you could see a small sway of her hips and could see the nightgown she wore showing off her perfect hourglass figure.“Damn she really knows how to get what she wants.” You said to yourself chuckling as you closed your black book.
