An Amateur one

You grab a DVD off the "Amateur" shelf and take it up to Amy who seems to be waiting patiently. You hand it to her.

She reads the box out loud. "Amateur bitches at home" It is very strange to hear Amy Adams' voice saying those words out loud. Then she gives you a confused look, "I said I wanted to be a pro... not this."

You'd better speak up for yourself before you disappoint her. "Well I was thinking..." you try to find the right way to make your case. "Amateur videos are very popular. And celebrity sex tapes even more popular. If you wanted a career change, an easy way to do it would be..."

"Make my own sex tape.' Amy finishes your thought. And in doing so makes you feel like you're on to something. "And then say, 'Oh well, I'm a slut anyway, might as well do porn now?'" This she says with a hint of incredulity, suggesting that your point may not be that well made.

"Well, maybe not exactly like that." you try to save face.

Amy thinks for a moment, shifting her eyes to the ceiling. You try not to use the opportunity to dance your vision over her nice body, picturing her being penetrated on video. But how can the thought not invade every crevice of your mind?

"I suppose it is a thought." Amy says, glancing down at the DVD box again and then turning and wandering out of the store without even saying goodbye. Without... even paying for the DVD.

You roll your eyes. You may never quite figure out what that was all about. But without question it made for the strangest day you've ever had at work.

Until the next day, when Amy Adams storms through the front door and walks right up to you. You're in the middle of counting your drawer for the day and have to put the money down, because she's immediately in your face.

She seems flustered. Upset? Pissed? It's hard to tell. "I went home and told my husband about your idea." She says.

Shit, she has a husband. You think you may have actually known that. You hope you're not in any serious trouble. "And?" You ask, wearily.
