Where does she go?

An Alley

Joan didn't look back, she ran in her heels out of the building, she wasn't even sure who in the offices might have caught sight of her, she just wanted out of this nightmare.

She pushed her way through a door into a back alley, close by there were some rough looking teenagers sharing a liquor bottle in a brown paper bag. They stopped when they saw the redhead in only lingerie and heels, Joan realized her mistake too late she was locked outside; the young men crowded around her like a pack of wolves, she didn't know what to do.

"Hey, sweetheart, what you doing out here?"

"Must be my birthday."

Joan pressed her back against the wall, some of them looked like they might be packing switch blades.

"Easy now, fellas," she said sticking her hands up.

"Yeah, watch out," one with a jagged laughed.

"Hey, boys, maybe she's a cop," the greasiest one cackled, spitting up some of the liquor.

"Er yeah," Joan struggled, "I'm undercover."

She wasn't afraid to fight a kid but she really wanted to get the hell out of there before anyone else saw. The wannabe tough guys caught sight of a cop car at the end of the alley, the beefy copper glared at them and turned on his lights.

"SCRAM!"

They all ran off leaving Joan to catch her breath and hold her chest, but before she could breathe a sigh of relief she realized..."Oh shit!"

She ran too in the same direction, struggling on her heels, it seemed like she was going to have to ditch them soon. In a high window she saw what looked like that same man again, he was holding up a new sign: 'TURN LEFT'. Joan did and...

She tripped on the sidewalk and landed face first into some freshly made wet cement!
