Ambushed

Niery walks down the narrow corridor past the one she had come from to seek out the trader, her only option is the door up ahead. As she opens the door the room appears empty aside from a pillar holding up the roof, a few barrels and chests in the corners and another door to her left.

Not bothering to close the automatic door she goes to inspect some of the barrels. Approaching the one to her right she sees it's covered with a lid. She taps the top and knocks the side but it appears hollow and empty, suddenly an arrow strikes her in the shoulder and she quickly turns to face the source. From behind the pillar a thief in ragged clothing drops his bow and draws a dagger, Niery her Khopesh as they prepare to duel.

Niery closes the gap and strikes at her ambusher [2+3+*2pen]

He screams in agony and grits his teeth while he lunges at the fox [15>15] Niery still mid swing is unable to deflect his knife as it plunges in her shoulder. [6 dmg] 1/8hp.

Both are on the verge of collapsing but the pain fuels Niery, she's far from worn out and can still dodge attacks or heal herself. The bandit however doesn't look so good, his face turning pale.

Niery strikes again [4+1+*2] [18>17] The bandit sidesteps but she's anticipated his manoeuvre and follows through. Miraculously the bandit moves lightning fast and parries her blade with his knife and steps under it. In one swift motion, he makes a leg sweep at Niery.
[Block NATURAL 20!]

His legsweep catches Niery completely of guard, just like his parry did. His speed and expertise is legendary!
[DC 10+2> Natural 1!] She falls flat on her back, knocking the breath out of her.

The thief doesn't give her a chance to catch her breath and is upon her in an instant, Niery can only raise her hand holding her copish in such a way the bandit would cut himself if he tried [Natural 20].

This buys her enough time, forcing the bandit to make a roll in order to dodge her blade. While she regains her stance the man is upon her again.

Attack vs dodge: [22<24] but the fox is too swift for the tiring bandit. Now it's him that has to catch a breather.. This is her time to strike! Atk vs Blk [14>10]

The Khopesh delivers a fatal strike, forcing the man to slump to his knees and fall facefirst to the stone floor.

Niery catches her breath, counting herself lucky it was just one bandit. She already struggled with this Fucker and who knows how far it is till she reaches the end of this maze.

The bandit has nothing of value so she takes her time to patch her wounds and continue her search for the exit or a monster to fuck.
