Ambush him

You decide to ambush the man. Quickening your pace you soon come to be directly behind him. He's still yet to take notice of you. You lunge forward, locking your arm around his neck. He gasps out, dropping his map. He tries to struggle free, yanking on your arm. You tighten your grip, trying to hasten the process. His tense struggling body soon relaxes, slumping down limp. You release him gently placing him on the ground. Walking forward, you pick up and examine his map. It seems he was on his way to your estate. Peculiar to say the least. Sliding off his backpack, you rummage through it. You find other parchment maps, bit also letters. This man is a messenger. You find several letters addressed to you from various other knights. Some asking of potential alliance, others asking for truce, but most are threats. Sighing, you slide the letters into the backpack. You glance over at the still **** messenger.
