Amber vs John

You throw out your pokeball at the same time as John. Tingle vs Masquerain. “Ooooh, a buzzing, shocking electric type from Amber. If you wanted to seduce me you’ve succeeded. I’ll see you later girlie, nyohoho.”

“Electroweb,” you command. The shocking web launches at John’s partner, but the fast bug managed to dodge the flying projectile.

“It seems my electroweb is the only one anyone is caught it,” Iono laughs.

Tingle dodges the onslaught of air slashes. Gouges dug into the ground, as you command him to fire back with more electrowebs. Finally one of the webs manages to clip Masquerain’s wing. The shock did wonders, you felt confident that he was going down. But then one last air slash hit Tingle. John recalls his pokemon, 1 down 3 to go.

“Shedinja, I choose you,” John tosses out his pokemon.

“Say whaaat? Lesse if Amber’s Joltik has any tricks up its sleeve,” she waves her own sleeves around, “to handle the untouchable Shedinja.”

No, no Tingle did not. “Tingle, thunder wave.” He might not be able to knock out the ghost bug, but he could make it easier for your next pokemon.

But you hear John command, “Shadow sneak.” Before Tingle can fulfill your command, Shedinja’s shadow leaps from the ground and finishes Tingle off. You pause for a second who to send out next. You don’t have a good answer, your dark types could hit Shedinja, but they’re also weak to his bug type moves.

You decide to put your trust in Runt. Her speed will hopefully work, she only needs the one hit. “We got this, Runt.”

Runt charges forward at your behest. She tries to avoid the incoming bug buzz, but it hits. Runt doesn’t look in the best shape but as her teeth make contact with Shedinja the enemy falls. 2 down 2 to go.

But now John’s **** you into a dark type against his bugs. And Ninjask makes its appearance next. “Runt, ice fang!” She coats her teeth in a layer of ice, the fog pouring from her mouth as the sudden cold hits the warm air of her breath. She charges forward, only barely managing to dodge an incoming fury cutter. Both pokemon miss their attacks.

But Ninjask is faster, its speed building at each passing move. It turns on Runt and ends the battle with a devastating fury cutter. “You did great Runt, but now its Trapinch’s turn.”

“Sandstorm,” you command as your next partner appears. The battlefield blurs in a frenzy of sand. The barrage of minuscule particles damages Ninjask, but you’ll need more than that. Trapinch doesn’t have the speed to match Ninjask.

As Ninjask dives for another commanded fury cutter, you have him dig. It won’t hit the enemy but it will stop the growing damage of fury cutter.

When Trapinch returns to the surface, John switches tactics. Ninjask uses absorb while flying around at blinding speeds. “Rock tomb,” you command, but Trapinch has a hard time hitting the quick target.

“Y’know this battle is going great. Y’think Ninjask will wear down the Trapinch before a rock meets its mark? Ready or not, a victor comes soon!” you’d almost forgotten about Iono, your focus on the battle blocking out the sounds of her commentary and even the roar of the crowd. Battle focused.

John commands Ninjask to make one final dive, Trapinch looks bad. But before the slash can land the final blow, a rock collides midair with the bug. With double type advantage, that’s all it took. Ninjask is out of the match, but Trapinch won’t last much longer.

“This match is coming down to the LIVEWIRE!”

Scyther appears just as you expected. You try another rock tomb, if you could hit it would be amazing for your chances, but Scyther dodges and lands a devastating slash. Now, you’re down to your last pokemon.

If Wartortle can’t pull out a victory your time in the Rookie Tournament. Which would be great for John, you’d obviously support him but you want to win. “All riiiiight! We’re all on the edge of our seats! The shocking conclusion to a high flying match. I ‘unno ‘bout you all, but this is crazy! Nyohoho!”

Wartortle vs Scyther. You vs John.

“Rain dance!” you need to clear, Trapinch’s sandstorm, plus the boost to Wartortle’s moves will be nice.

“Acck, I’mma short circuit,” Iono squeals. She pulls her giant jacket up over her head. And as the top rises, so does the rest. And it becomes very clear that Iono wears nothing beneath her oversized jacket. She’d rather flash the international broadcast than get caught in the rain. You look away, this is not time to get distracted by cotton candy colored pubes.

Scyther dashes forward. 1 hit, 2 hits. The double hit lands without much effort. “You’ve got this, Wartortle water pulse.” The ring of water slams against the sword armed bug.

“Wowzah! Wheresa umbrella when y’need one!” Iono is now bent over digging through the pile of junk she tumbled over earlier. Her full moon ass shaking for the camera.

“Slash,” John commands. Scyther flies in quick and moves to hit Wartortle, but when it swings it slices its own leg. Confusion!

Now with Scyther in close, you command, “Aqua tail!” Wartortle coats its tail in an aura of water, before slamming the rain empowered move into the opponent. Scyther falls to the ground and isn’t moving. John recalls his last pokemon and the crowd goes wild.

Iono looks back up. “BUUUT I wasn’t looking! Whateva, can we stop the rain now?” the rain clears shortly after that, the stadium systems dispelling the localized weather. “There’s always next time to see a forfeit but for now, AMBER OF PALLET TOWN WINS!”

You walk over to John, and pull him in for a kiss and the crowd goes wild! “Issit not too late for a forfeit?! Some bizarre backwards forfeit!? I’m down to watch either way!” But you just take John’s hand, holding it over your shoulder as you walk to the exit with John in tow. “NOOOO! Don’t leave. I’ve got 100,000PD if you do it here and now!” You just keep walking. “1,000,000PD!” One foot after another you make your exit. “10,000,000PD!” You falter for a second, that is a lot of money after all. You look over your shoulder at the foreign gym leader.

She grins, “Your eyeballs are MINE— caught in my Electroweb! Whosawhatsit? Iono wantsta watch!”
