Amber discovers her “dolls” have come to life

Kelly was stunned.

Here they were, two boys done up like ladies, Lucy completely lost in character. Was it possible to help him? Was that even something to consider, being as they were both less than a foot tall now?

After Lucy took them into another spin, giggling girlishly, it took Kelly a moment to realize that the bedroom door was open. And someone was standing in it.

Lady Amber’s voice was soft, her eyes wide in disbelief. She was staring right at them, Kelly struggling to get Lucy to stop spinning him.

Lucy paused, turning to the normal sized girl with a blank, almost nonchalant look on his face.

“You’re *both* real.” Amber pulled the door behind her closed, crossing over the room. “H-how are you-moving?”

Amber leaned in closer, finger pressed to her chin. Her eyes sharpened from surprising to studious, looking down to the them. “…Miss Lucy?”

Lucy let go of Kelly, taking his skirts and curtsying. “Oh, hello! Good to speak to you, my lady. That’s right, I’m Lucy!”

Kelly’s mouth fell open, watching Lucy all but dance as he swished his skirts with a smile looking up at Lady Amber. If she was too disturbed by her “dolls” coming to life, she might fetch the wizard!

Lucy suddenly turned, smiling as he lifted his hand and took a very formal bow. “And, of course, may I present Princess Valerie!”

Kelly gasped, suddenly under Amber’s scrutiny as the young woman turned her attention to him.
