Almost everyone goes on a hike

When everyone was ready, Heather called the group to the table. Not wanting to miss any of the movie, Gavin and Victoria grabbed their food and returned to the couch. Since the dining table was covered with food, the others made their sandwiches and found a place to enjoy their lunch. Chloe, Ashley and Brandon went outside, while Kurt, Zack and Heather ate in the kitchen.

When everyone had finished their simple but filling lunch, they all chipped in and helped put everything away. Once the table was cleared, they all grabbed a seat. With plenty of daylight still left, they discussed what to do with it.

“Who wants to go on a hike?” Heather asked.

“How far?” Gavin wanted to know.

“Not very. No more than five miles into the park. Don’t have all day,” she replied.

“Besides, we don’t want to see too much of the place in one day, else we won’t want to go on another one,” Kurt added.

“Ashley and I did a decent bit of hiking earlier, so we are gonna stay here at the cabin, maybe hit the lake, but go ahead without us,” Brandon informed them. In truth, the duo had only gone about five hundred yards from the cabin before they found a secluded grove of evergreen trees and spent the remaining time going down on each other. Now they wanted to move beyond the foreplay and get to the main attraction.

“Anybody else want to go then?” Heather asked. When the rest of the group agreed to the hike, Heather shot Brandon and Ashley a knowing grin.

“Have fun, you two!” She teased “Don’t do anything I would do. Do it twice!”

As the couple blushed, everyone else headed off to their rooms to get whatever they needed for the hike. Zack, anticipating a hike at some point on this trip, took his sweet time loading up the old army rucksack he used as a backpack.

“HURRY UP ZACK! TRIP’S GONNA BE OVER BEFORE WE GET GOING!” Chloe shouted through the door to his room.

Once he was finished, he grabbed his bag, a hat and sunglasses and went out to the living room.
