Chapter 108
by
Fantasy
Who’s behind the door?
All four of them.
You open the door with a shaking hand. There, you see the four women who know your biggest secret. This almost feels like the Bad End to any terrible Harem visual novel.
…
Huh. Fitting.
Whatever. Whether they’re here to talk or gut punch you, your door has always been open to them. You wordlessly open the door and step aside. Nobody says a word as they come in, though you notice something strange. Emma has a backpack on her, which is odd, and the other girls’ bags look kind of full.
Emma sits on your desk chair, while Emily and Megan take their usual spot at the edge of your bed. You’re proud of yourself for keeping a straight face when you see Sophia awkwardly looking around, looking for her own place to sit, before Megan simply grabs her by the writs and sits her next to herself on the bed. There’s enough space for the three of them.
No place left for you though, so you just close the door and walk up to the center of the shed. You stand there as straight as you can while looking as natural as possible, left thumb in your pocket and right hand at your side. You’re ready for whatever comes.
“Why didn’t you go to school today?” Emma asks, her tone more like a teacher’s than someone who’s seen you naked.
“…” You grimace. You don’t want to admit it, but you know you have to keep being honest with them. “I didn’t want to see you.” Shit. That can easily be taken the wrong way. “I was afraid.”
“You realize the headmistress almost kicked you out for skipping, right?” Sophia asks, her face silently asking “you’re not that stupid, are you?”
Though it seems that you are. You facepalm hard at the realization. Your mind was so focused on this issue that you completely forgot about the fact that you’re still on a tight rope about that.
“I told her you called me saying you were sick.” Emma explains, her tone as soft and kind as ever. “I managed to convince her that everyone gets sick once in a while. The fact that she recently got food poisoning helped.” She sighs.
“I’m sorry… and thanks.” You smile at her, and of course she smiles back.
“Urgh! I can’t stand this awkwardness! Let’s just get it over with already!” Emily groans, throwing herself back on your bed and kicking the air. You frown at that. It’s like she’s throwing a tantrum.
“Em, stop that. You’re not a kid anymore.” Megan tells her, looking down at her with an annoyed expression. “You can’t throw a fit and expect things to fix themselves. Not anymore.”
Oh. Has she always been like that? That’s your first time seeing her like this. But you guess this is also the first time things had been so weird between you.
“I agree that we should just get this out of the way though.” Sophia nods, then groans shaking her head. “I can’t believe I finally got a boyfriend and the very next day things get this weird. You’re weird.” She tells you directly with a frown.
You raise your hands and accept it.
“We each gave it some time. We thought about what you said.” Emma starts. “We talked about it today. Each of us have something to say, but everyone decided on their own.” She smiles at you. “On my part, I decided that, even if what you said is true, I don’t care.” She tells you bluntly, stunning you for a moment. “I just CAN’T care, because regardless of the reason, I’m more satisfied with my life now than I’ve been for a long time. Even if, like you said, my love for you grew faster than normal, it doesn’t change how much I care about you right now, and you’ve shown me through your actions that you care about me as well. I know you do.”
Yes, you do! You want to tell her, but don’t want to interrupt.
“I feel the same way.” Megan says, taking a hand to her chest, trying to calm her heart after a deep breath. “We wondered once if we were going too fast, remember? We met, we became friends, and suddenly we were lovers. If what you said is true, then it makes sense.” She smiles to herself, seeing a memory of a recent past. “Do you remember what I said at that time? It still stands. I’m glad things went as fast as they did. I don’t regret a thing. When I think that we might have wasted years before we were able to confess our feelings, my chest hurts. Besides…” She smiles shyly. “If what you said about those “trait” things is true, then that means no one thinks it’s weird that I’m with Emily as well.”
This makes you smile wryly, Emma and Sophia chuckle and the blonde in question hides her face behind her hand, embarrassed.
“I mean, that’s true, but you didn’t have to say it out loud.” Emily groans. She sits up and looks at you. “You didn’t mind control us, right?” She asks, eyeing you carefully. “You said that thing on your phone makes people like you faster. That means that, if I didn’t like you to begin with, I wouldn’t like you as much as I like you now, right?” She frowns, confused at her own wording. “You get what I mean.” She waves her hand dismissingly.
You nod. “Yeah, I believe that’s how it works. I… did buy a trait that made me a better kisser though.” You admit.
There’s a chorused “Oooooooh!” of realization by all four girls.
“Okay, that’s definitely cheating. But you know what? I’m not even gonna complain about it.” Emily nods to herself. You see the other three girls silently nodding in agreement. Man, they REALLY like that, huh? “Alright then. That was my only question. If all the thing did was make me like you faster, then like Meg said, it helped save time, I guess. Maybe it’s because of the multiplier, but I don’t care. I know I like you,” She shakes her head and her face reddens. “No. I know I love you, and I know I don’t mind sharing you.”
Megan grins and hugs her friend as she feels embarrassed by her own words. Emma nods in agreement.
Finally, you look at Sophia, who’s sitting with arms and legs crossed looking back at you.
“My turn, huh? Fine.” She nods to herself, confirming her own feelings. “You and I are in a strange place, Mr. Walker. We got together the day before yesterday and then you drop this on me, saying the reason I felt that way about you was because of some Affection Multiplier.” She sighs and smiles. “Still, you can’t multiply by zero. These feelings are mine, even if they are growing faster than normal. Besides, we talked about this already. I know my kinks aren’t recent. You have exactly what I always wanted to be a part of. Who knows? If I was in your shoes, I might have done the same things.” She admits, much to your surprise. “You did say we weren’t much different, right?” She shrugs. “I know I’m the new girl. But I want to be a part of this. I want to be with you all. Is… that alright?” She asks, unsure of herself at the last second.
“We’ve said our piece. Now it’s time for David to give us an answer.” Emma says, making all four girls look at you expectantly.
