"I have news," Mira's sister Alisa said. Alisa had a little more meat on her bones, her face was a little rounder, and she was quite busty for an Asian woman. She was a few years older than Mira, and she had the look of someone that got to tell their sibling something they didn't know.

"What's that?" Mira said, a little wary.

"Well, I'd hoped it'd be next year .. but with grandma ... anyway, I've been accepted to a university out there for graduate studies."

"Out where?"

"South Carolina. I thought it'd be a chance for us to really catch up. We really haven't had much time together with grandma."
