John shrank down into his chair, his father had always struck and intimidating form and the way he was looking at John now was even more so. His eyes gleamed with hunger and power, having witnessed what this game could do he had no doubt that the rewards and punishments would be equally interesting.

"Dad... you're scaring me" John whimpered

"I'm thinking, that's all" Alan smirked

"What was the challenge anyway?" Claire enquired

"Don't worry about it" John and Alan chorused in unison, neither wanting to admit to their wife/ mother what had just happened.
