“Congratulations, you’ve been placed in the Cardinals Civilization. Welcome.” One of the four professors reads, representing the Cardinal civilization. The student rep then hands you a pamphlet/guide that will give you access to some of the Cardinals secrets.

On the front of the pamphlet, you see the logo and Civ Name. Before you open it though, you are told to leave the room and walk under the picture of the Cardinal shown on the front of the pamphlet. Upon arriving on the logo, you are shocked by an elevator that quickly transports you very quickly into a blank, wide open space highlighted by a massive door. You take this quiet opportunity alone to open the pamphlet knowing nobody is around you and see a flood of words, glad you didn’t open it and try and read it rushed in front of the large group. Particularly with the words “Top Secret” emblazoned on the front cover.

New Cardinals-

Welcome to the Cardinals Civilization! We fly high over all the others and soar to the greatest heights you can possibly imagine. Here in the Cardinal Civilization you will be able to face any challenge you seek while being guided by the feathers and wings of our incredible mascot while donning the protective black and yellow coloration that will make others fear you, stay away and always remind them of your Cardinal Spirit.

Those who are placed here are selected and chosen for their dedication to Safety/Security, Comfort, Peace, Learning, and Personal Growth. While there are more traits that we look for in our students, these are our core values and principles and things we believe almost everyone chosen for our Civilization values and wants. That’s not to say those who weren’t placed here don’t or can’t value those things, but they just take on a core identity to most of us that are placed here.

We likely share values of always wanting to feel at home, and you can do that in our incredible Capital Room. The ceiling allows the sun to shine brightly illuminating us all during the day and the moon and stars to provide us comfort at night. It’s very peaceful and calming to always have such close ties to nature, including our secret entrance, the East Tree, with which you will access that very same Capital Room. As I’m sure you know by now, «East Is Up!»

You were likely placed here because you possess, and/or value at least some of the following character and personality traits- Adventurous, Friendly, Loving, Musically Gifted, Optimistic, Hopeful, Decisive, Open Minded, Active, Expressive, Creative, Leadership, Motivation. These are the things that you will find you share with the others around you as you meet new people and make new friends in our lovely community.

Meanwhile, there are also some things for everyone to work on, as embodied by one of our 5 Core Values, Personal Growth. The areas we like to focus on and develop are Finding Your Voice, Embracing Your Uniqueness, Identifying and Exploring Your Talents, Self Confidence, Inner Strength, Setting Lofty Goals and Expecting Great Things. As our Motto says, you should always look to “Shoot For The Moon!”

Surely you will find great success in your time at Cielisium if you were placed with us, and we not only hope, but truly believe, that will be the case for all of our students that are selected to be Cardinals.

The Cardinals Civilization is a place for everyone who values safety, security and a sense of comfort. Those who are placed here have a positive view of adventure and willingness to fly out of the nest, but also value a sense of belonging or established home they can always return to that brings them a sense of calm and peace. Those who are placed with the Cardinals are considered to be positive people who are friendly and loving, however they will protect and defend themselves, and those they are closest to when they feel attacked or threatened. Cardinals are good communicators and also tend to be musically inclined. Those placed here are most definitely an optimistic, hopeful people that love to take a glass half full approach to things and find positive takeaways from moments others may see as negative. Those placed in the Cardinals Civilization are said to be decisive, active and open minded. Finally, major characteristics of those placed here are being open minded with a desire for learning, strive for personal growth, as well as being very expressive, creative and a strong leader and motivator who will help others succeed around them as well.

Those who are placed in the Cardinal Civilization may need to work on using their voice, standing up for their beliefs, and finding what makes them unique, as those chosen here have the potential to be strong in those areas and reach their potential once they find those things. Embracing self confidence and inner strength, as well as their talents and what interests them are things that can really make Cardinals thrive. It’s important to remember that while safety and security are important, and friends/family most so, soaring high and setting lofty goals and ambitions will help you reach them and truly achieve the greatest things you could want.

In addition to the above, more mainstream opinions on the Cardinals, their Civ Prized Possession- the Cardinal Feather, often brings good luck and fortune and serves as an inspiration to help bring out the Cardinals passion and energy with it’s beauty. To add to that, the Selection Ceremony for Cardinals is one of the most difficult, as it’s been said that those chosen for this group often share the most with the other three Civs. They share the communication and positivity of the Dolphins, the Passion and Energy of the Tigers, and the Inner Strength and Confidence of the Wolverines. This also makes them one of the rarer groups to be selected for, but being chosen for this group is something that makes those who are a fit for this group often very clear.

At this point, you take a deep breath and realize that your journey is just about to begin and walk towards the closed door in front of you.
