Aftermath

There had been a full crew of 600 aboard the Wind of Autumn 133 of those had been left behind while the rest had been pushed into boarding. 103 of those had been knocked out by the Marines while the remainder had been keeping other ship functions running.

_Vanguard _had a crew of 470. They'd been running light to have their provisions stretch out longer for their long range patrols, that was the main reason they'd been specifically targeted for this operation.

Jessica read through that on her slate as she walked across to the Vanguard. Her helmet cradled in her arm. There was still one huge question on her mind.

Captain Dakota Smith did in fact meet her criteria. The woman was a buxom blonde bombshell.

"Major. It's good to meet you. I just wish my ship hadn't needed to be destroyed for it to happen." She said, there was a little bit of heat there but that was to be expected. Like any Captain the ship was her baby.

"I got you a new one." Jessica replied. That got a laugh.

"I doubt that. I'll probably keep the Vanguard and just be reassigned to another area. You've saved one career and advanced another today Major." Dakota said, "Of course," she said, bringing a hand to tap the collar on her neck. "That'll be after you free me. Is there anything our savior might want to do before that?"
