Chapter 25
What's next?
After Lunch
“Okay, Momee. I have an important meeting coming up and I would like you to sit beside me and take notes. It doesn't matter what you write down, just jot down anything you think is important such as deadlines, figures or any other relevant information. After the meeting, I will review your notes to see how efficient you are. We can then discuss any improvements that need to be made. Okay?” During the meeting, Momee diligently takes notes of almost all the information. After the meeting, an anxious Momee submits her notes to Ron.
“Hmm. Momee, you've taken down a lot of notes. Here are the minutes from the last meeting. Please review them along with your notes and update as necessary. I'll proofread it later. Go ahead.”
“Can you please print that out for me? I'm not very knowledgeable about typing and computer operations. I know there is something called Microsoft Word and Excel, but I haven't used them and don't know how to operate them.”
“What? You haven’t used MS word or excel? Like ever?”
“No. I never needed to do that.”
“You have passed your degree in engineering without ever having to compose anything?”
"Our professors required us to submit our assignments in handwritten form to discourage copying. They explained that many students tend to simply copy and paste from others, but if we had to write it out by hand, we would have to read and process the information more thoroughly. This way, we would be more likely to remember the assignments."
“That actually made more sense if you put it like that. But you didn't have to submit a computerized document ever?"
"No, we only had to submit the thesis paper in a computerized written form. Luckily, my thesis partner was very considerate and did all the work. I just helped by holding and handing over parts for our project. In return, he just asked for 10 minutes of hugs and squeezes every day."
“Right. He certainly was very considerate. OK for now I will print it out for you, but I expect you to learn the computer fast. For my business, it is very important.”
“Can you please teach me? I don’t even know where to start.”
“We will see. Now do the corrections.” Momee took notes on paper and later updated the minutes with some corrections from Ron. The office time ended and Momee said goodbye to Ron after hugging him passionately for the thirtieth time that day. Ron went to buy dresses for Momee to wear and had many ideas for dressing her up. He just needs to come up with the most convincing one with enough backing.
What dresses Ron should buy? Expecting your suggestion. I would like to incorporate readers' perverseness into the story ;)
