Who gets the App and where are they?
Adrian Stone, Sleeping in bedroom at parent's home
The sound of his phone's industrial alarm tone snapped him awake. Adrian blindly slapped around his nightstand until he found his phone, slamming his thumb onto the button to silence it. Ugh, why was it even on? Not like he had a job or anything else to do but sleep on this fine Saturday morning.
His mind was still foggy with sleep as he grabbed his phone off the charger and laid back in bed, "Might as well check today's weather now that I'm awake." He tapped the screen, but as he swiped through his home screen, his thumb froze. There was an icon he didn't recognize. A plain white square on a black background with RE in black in the middle.
This a free trial for some game? He wondered. He didn't remember downloading anything, but curiosity won out. He tapped the app, and it opened instantly without any loading screen or splash page. The interface was utilitarian, devoid of everything except five categories: Select Subject, NPC List, Personal Profile, Command Box, and World Modifiers. There were no instructions, no "Tutorial" button, and no account login.
Adrian frowned, "Seriously that's it?" He huffed as he tapped Personal Profile, "Probably some stupid Sims knockoff." To his surprise, the screen didn't ask for a name. Instead, it displayed his own data with clinical precision: Name: Adrian Stone. Age: 24. Status: Unemployed. Mood: Confused/Groggy. It was as if the app had simply read his mind, or perhaps scanned his biometric data through the phone's hardware.
"OK getting a little creepy," he hits a dropdown menu that seemed to list his current thoughts. 'Subject is currently wondering if this is a prank.' He let out a short, sharp laugh. "Looking like a convincing one so far." He then opened a menu labeled 'Detailed Profile'.

The list continued on in depth but his eyes were drawn to where it listed his flaccid and erect Penis size at 5" and 7" respectively. "OK definitely beyond creepy now. No way you could pull that from my internet history."
He sat up, the cool air of the bedroom hitting his chest, and looked around the room. Everything seemed normal, the piles of laundry in the corner, the posters of old bands peeling at the edges, and the dusty window blinds that let in just enough light to illuminate the dust motes dancing in the air.
"If this is a prank, who the hell is doing it?" he muttered, his voice sounding raspy from sleep. He looked back at the screen. He tapped back to the main screen and selected Command Box, he was greeted with a currently empty box, a blinking cursor waiting for input. He felt a strange itch of temptation. He didn't believe in magic or simulation theory, but the level of detail in the profile, details he'd never typed into a form, was mathematically improbable.
He decided to give it a harmless test. He typed: 'Make the room smell like fresh cinnamon rolls.' He paused, his thumb hovering over the confirm button. It felt absurd, like trying to order pizza by texting a random number. He pressed it. For a second, nothing happened. Then, a sudden, heavy scent of warm yeast and spicy cinnamon flooded the room.
Adrian froze, his nostrils flaring. The smell wasn't faint or imagined, it was real like his stepmother had pulled a tray from the oven downstairs but only in his room. "Shit this actually works?" he whispered, his heart beginning to hammer against his ribs. He looked around frantically, checking the vents or the door for some hidden camera, but the room was empty. He looked back at the phone; the Command Box had cleared itself, and a small notification popped up at the top of the screen: Command Executed Successfully.
He lay back on his pillows, the scent of cinnamon lingering heavily in the air. A dizzying sense of power surged through him, a cocktail of adrenaline and disbelief. If he could change the smell of a room, what else could he do? He looked at the NPC List button, wondering if the app could see the people in the house the same way it saw him. He imagined the possibilities—changing his bank balance, altering how people perceived him, or even just fixing the leaky faucet in the bathroom without getting his hands wet.
"ADRIAN, I KNOW YOUR AWAKE IN THERE! GET DOWNSTAIRS AND GRAB THE MAIL!" His stepmother Angie's voice boomed from just outside his closed bedroom door, followed by a sharp, impatient knock. The sudden sound made him jump, nearly dropping the phone on his face. The smell of cinnamon was still there, though it felt strangely out of place now that the domestic reality of his morning had crashed back in.
His stepmother Angie barged in a few seconds later, not waiting for an answer. She was already dressed for the day in a floral blouse and leggings, her hair tied back in a practical ponytail. She stopped dead in the center of the room, she inhaled sharply and looked around with a confused expression. "Well it definitely smells better in here but it still looks like an animal lives in here."
"Honestly you need to start contributing more around here. Don't start with the excuses, if my girls can hold jobs, then you can too." She looked around the room at the piles of clothing, "I'll grab more detergent on the way home, you'll definitely need it for those." She didn't seem to notice the phone in his hand, her focus entirely on the general lack of productivity in his lifestyle.
"I don't ask much of you, mainly keep the lawn upkept, trash taken out, and mail brought in. If you can't do that in a timely fashion, then how can you expect to get anywhere in life?" She huffed as she turned to leave, "just grab the mail before I leave so I can pay bills if need be while I'm out."
With that she turned and strode out of his bedroom leaving the door open. "Good morning, is that so hard?" Adrian muttered to himself as he crawled out of bed. He grabbed some sweatpants from the footboard and pulled them on. Grabbing his phone, he then left his room to head for the stairs.
Stomping down the stairs, Adrian can hear Angie sigh in frustration as he walks past the kitchen. He slipped on some flip flops by the front door before stepping out on the front porch.
The morning air was chilly against his bare torso, but his attention was glued to the phone. He hadn't looked at the NPC List yet. As he walked down the driveway toward the mailbox, he paused and tapped the screen. The list barely moved only containing one name: Angie Stone.
Seriously, that's it? He then noted a circle icon in the corner, tapping it let him set the Radius of Recognition. He dialed it up from 15 ft to 45ft, and still nothing. His stepsisters weren't home currently but across the street Mrs Gable was shuffling out to her mailbox. The app instantly updated the moment she was within range. Name: Martha Gable. Age: 67. Status: Retired/Grumpy. Mood: Annoyed. Adrian stared at the screen, his eyes wide. It was working in real-time. He looked up to see Martha Gable squinting at him with a look of deep disapproval. She muttered to herself as she grabbed the mail, "would it kill him to wear a shirt?"
Adrian looked back at the phone, his thumb hovering over the NPC List. He tapped on Martha Gable's name, and to his delight, a detailed profile opened—much like his own, though hers was focused on health issues and a lingering resentment toward the local zoning board. Below her profile was a Command Box specifically for the selected subject. He felt a mischievous grin creep across his face. He didn't want to do anything drastic, not yet anyway, but the temptation was overwhelming. He typed 'Make Martha Gable suddenly feel an overwhelming urge to give me a compliment.'
He hit confirm. Across the driveway, Martha paused, her hand still gripping a stack of envelopes. Her face remained pinched, her brow furrowed in a permanent scowl, but suddenly her expression flickered. She blinked rapidly, as if shaking off a sudden dizzy spell, and then looked at Adrian. The transition was jarring; the bitterness in her eyes softened into something resembling genuine warmth, though it looked slightly forced, as if she were fighting an internal battle. "You know, Adrian," she called out, her voice raspy but surprisingly kind, "you've actually grown into a quite handsome young man. You have a very symmetrical face."
Adrian froze, his mouth slightly agape. He didn't even know how to respond to a compliment from the woman who had spent the last three years complaining about his "lack of direction" to anyone who would listen. "Uh... thanks, Mrs. Gable?" he stammered, feeling a rush of triumph that it actually worked. He looked down at the phone, the Command Box now empty and waiting.
"Oh yeah, I think this morning is about to get interesting." He grinned as he grabbed the mail from the box and opened Angie's profile as he walked back toward the porch. If the app can change mental states and modify surroundings, then why not something more physical?

He tapped the detailed description and scrolled down to Chest Size, currently listed at D Cups. He tapped on the value and was given a slider. He could either move the slider or enter a direct value. A surge of nervous excitement hit him, this was far more noticeable than making a neighbor be nice. He looked back toward the house, seeing the silhouette of his stepmother through the kitchen window, likely checking her watch. He decided to be subtle—not something that would cause a scene, but something he would definitely notice. He slid the value up just a notch, shifting her from a D to a DD, and hit confirm.
To his surprise another screen appeared, 'Set Edit time/ Awareness of Edit / Retroactive Edits'. Set edit time gave him 3 options, Immediately / Over 5 Minutes / and Custom. Awareness of Edit apparently let him choose who could notice the edit with toggle switches, "That'll probably prove useful." Retroactive Edits only gave him a yes or no option. Not sure what Retroactive means and with no description given, he chose to not fool around with it just yet.
With this new information, he hit the back button to return to her Chest Size selector as he stopped outside the front door. "Ya know, this probably could have been avoided if you were nicer but oh well. Who am I kidding, after the constant bitching and complaining, you've had this coming." He set her Breast Size to GG-CUPS, the timer to over 5 minutes, and set Awareness off for all but himself. Wouldn't want anyone freaking out?
He hit confirm and noticed a slight purple ripple emanate from his phone before it read, Command Executed Successfully. As he stepped back inside and walked toward the kitchen, he could hear Angie talking on her phone, sounds like she was planning a lunch date with her sister. He paused at the entrance of the kitchen, pretending to drop the mail on the counter while keeping his eyes locked on her. At first, nothing happened, but then he saw her shift her weight. She frowned, glancing down at her chest, then adjusted the fit of her blouse, pulling the fabric taut.
"I could have sworn this shirt fit yesterday," Angie muttered, her voice laced with a mix of confusion and annoyance. She shifted again, her breath hitching slightly. The change was gradual but relentless; the floral fabric of her blouse was beginning to strain, the buttons pulling apart to reveal small gaps of white lace bra underneath. She didn't seem to realize why it was happening, only that her clothes were suddenly becoming restrictive. She let out a frustrated huff, subconsciously adjusting her posture to compensate for the rapidly increasing weight on her chest.
Adrian takes a seat at the kitchen table and looks at his phone, according to the app she's currently at EE cups and climbing. He watches her with a predatory curiosity, fascinated by the sheer physical plausibility of it. She isn't screaming or panicking; she's simply experiencing a sudden, inexplicable growth spurt in a very specific area. "Everything okay, Angie?" he asks, his voice dripping with a fake, innocent concern.
Angie doesn't look at him, her attention entirely focused on the battle with her wardrobe. She is currently struggling to breathe, her chest heaving as the fabric of her floral blouse reaches its absolute limit. "I don't... I don't know what's happening," she gasps, her voice sounding strained. She reaches up to tug at the collar, but the movement only puts more tension on the buttons. "I think I'm having an allergic reaction or something. My chest feels... tight. Unbelievably tight."
As she speaks, a distinct pop echoes through the quiet kitchen. The middle button of her blouse has finally surrendered to the pressure, flying off and bouncing across the linoleum floor. The gap in her shirt widens instantly, revealing a deep plunge of white lace that is visibly straining to contain her expanding volume. She freezes, eyes wide, staring down at the rupture in her clothing. "What in the world...?" she whispers, her hand instinctively flying up to cover the gap, though the gesture is clumsy as she finds her arms are now brushing against the sides of her own breasts.
"This fit fine a moment ago, I'll call you back sis." She hurriedly ends the call and sets the phone on the counter, her blouse losing another button with a rhythmic ping as she straightened up. "Great, now I'll have to change before she gets here." She heads for the hallway unsure why her center of gravity feels off, her bra is struggling to hold the sheer weight of her GG-cups, the underwire digging painfully into her ribs. She lets out a small, involuntary moan of discomfort, the physical sensation of rapid growth leaving her feeling dizzy and breathless.
Adrian watches her go from the kitchen. So she doesn't know her breasts are that size but does notice her clothes don't fit. Wonder if I could change that? With a grin he returned to the Reality Editor with a plan forming.
*Authors Note: I have a fairly irregular schedule so ill update when possible. I've been kicking around some ideas after reading around the web.
