Admit he needs help

“P-please don’t be angry. I’m a little panicked right now, today hasn’t exactly gone the way I’d hoped.”

Kelly lifted his hands, just in case the person behind him had any sort of weapon before turning around.

The fairy looked quite a bit like the old stories described. Petite and lithe, dressed in a yellow dress made from what appeared to be sunflower petals. Her hair was lavender and fell about her shoulders and around the near translucent wings that sat between her shoulder blades. There was an odd mischief to her eyes, one that made Kelly more nervous than even if she had been holding a weapon.

“I’m…human.” Kelly said, slowly lowering his hands back to cover his indecency. “That magician did this to me.”

The purple-haired fairy shifted her head, eyes narrowed.

“…Human, huh? I guess you managed to fall in here because that lame sorcerer made you tiny…” she crossed the distance between them quickly, fluttering on her silvery wings. “…No human has ever found us here, not even him. We can take advantage of the safety and food from living here in that human nobleman’s garden.”

Kelly glanced nervously side to side. “C-can you help me?”

The fairy folded her arms, putting a hand on her chin.

“Boys aren’t supposed to be here, let alone a human…” she turned, floating through the air in thought, “But you do seem like you really need help…”

Her eyes glanced past Kelly for a moment before a smile crept onto her face.

“…If I help you, you’ll have to do something else to help me, are you fine with that?”

Kelly nodded. Owing a debt to a fae was never a good thing, but, as things stood, if this fairy kicked him outside the stone circle, Lazaro could still find him and finish what he started.

“Anything!”

The fairy smiled, fluttering closer.

“Good! I’m in. What’s your name?”

“Um…Kelly?”

The fairy flew past him to the wardrobe, scooping the pink dress from inside and holding it up to him, an eager, mischievous grin on her face.

“Well, new friend Kelly…it looks like pink is definitely your color.”
