Addition and adventure

The next morning, everyone makes their way to the master forge. The guards wave you through, and as you head inside, you’re impressed by the amount of work being done. Dwarves and others work the furnaces and anvils, creating a variety of metal objects ranging from arms and armor to furniture and artwork.

You’re guided past all this industry to a separate chamber, much quieter, but still filled with the heat of the forge. As you enter, you see the Forgefather setting aside his tools as he turns to greet you. “Ah, good, you’re here! To start, thank you for your work on those weapons. You exceeded my expectations in every way.”

The girls from the workshop smile at this praise, and he continues. “Now, I have something else entirely to ask, and I apologize for prying in personal affairs. Would all of you be willing to accept another person in your group? At least temporarily?”

You glance at the girls. You mostly see curiosity and interest, with Naia of course looking the most excited. You nod. “If it’s the right person, sure. Why do you ask?”

Unir smiles. “As you know, we receive advanced notice when a traveler comes through the portal. Well, we have received word that a new one is coming, and I would like to place them with your group.”

You blink in surprise. “Another traveler? I’m not sure if that’s a great idea…”

He chuckles. “I hear what you’re thinking, and I saw most of your expressions change. You all are quite devoted to Greg, aren’t you.”

Naia nods. “He’s our mate! I’ll share with the girls, but that’s it!”

Helja smiles. “No offense, Forgefather, but Greg is the one for us.”

Unir shakes his head. “No, you misunderstood me. The traveler that is coming is a young woman. She has requested to join another traveler’s harem.”

Instantly, the mood changes. Naia’s expression changes from a pout to excitement. “Really? And we get to have her?”

Hayley laughs. “Naia, that’s not a great way to say that.”

Sanni chuckles. “But still, I agree. I think we can find room for her.”

As the rest of the girls agree, you nod. “There’s your answer. We’ll gladly take her in.”

Unir smiles. “Wonderful. The other thing is, you will need to escort her here. Apparently she is not particularly combat adept, nor is her magical talent suitable for self defense. It’s not an issue for most male travelers, as monster girls will attach themselves to a single male, as you all know.”

Aisha laughs and Naia grins. Unir chuckles and continues. “However, a woman traveling alone stands a chance of being waylaid, especially with the increased demonic presence lately. So I would offer to use my powers to transport a few of you to the portal. You would need to walk back on your own, however.”

You nod. “Aisha, Naia, and I have made the trip before.”

Marin grins. “I’m coming too. Just in case!”

Naia claps excitedly. “Yay! When can we go?”

Unir laughs. “Go get ready. I’ll send you this afternoon, from your house.”

You nod. “Let’s go, ladies. We have packing to do.”
