Adam decides to test it out first

Although I did not like the fact that Adam now held the book out of my reach. I realized too late he was already writing something in it. To my horror, I also saw that the pencil was still laying on the table. Taking a closer look, I realized he had pulled a pen from out of his pocket.

"Wait!" I shouted, startlingly him as I jumped out of my seat trying to stop him.

I obviously hadn't stopped him in time though, as my head began to spin and I instantly could tell a sudden change in reality....something was definately not right.
