Chapter 2 by Storm Chyld Storm Chyld

What character will the story follow?

Adam, son of the Overlord

Adam was in his room, half dressed, doing pull ups on a bar that hung across his closet entrance. His short red hair was slightly tousled, while his pale muscles bulged and glistened from his morning work out. He was dressed in black kung fu pants, and slippers

Letting go of the steel bar, the blue eyed man grabbed a white sleeveless vest and threw it on. His hands worked the black buttons through their holes, with practiced grace, before he popped the collar up. Grabbing his red tie, he quickly guided the lead in graceful motions, till he tightened it at his throat in a full Windsor. Popping the collar down he glanced at himself, approvingly, before heading for the door.

Dashing down the stairs, he yanked the front door open. As the door creaked in surprise, his father called out from the other room. “Prepare yourself Adam!”

“Not today father, got to go meet Anna!” Adam called out, dashing through the door, and yanking it closed.

As the door closed, a crack of thunder occurred inside the house, as a large red laser beam, blasted through the side of the house where Adam had been, and smashed into the adjacent building. Adam ignored his father's destructive rampage, as he dashed down the walkway to the side walk, and turned heading up the street towards Tatiana's house. A middle aged man stepped through the hole in his house, and looked around confused.

“Sorry Mr. Wilson!” Adam cried out, with a wave, as he sprinted past his house.

“Have fun at school Adam!” The man waved back good-naturedly, before turning toward his father's house. “Omega! Why do you keep putting holes in my house?” He screamed at Adam's father.

Twenty minutes later Adam burst through the door to Pop's Chocolate Shop, and glanced around the old time diner. Only one person was sitting in the booths, and as soon as she saw him she stood up. Anna had long blond hair, that flowed from her pony tail toward the middle of her back. A white blouse barely containing her large tits, and a flouncy black skirt that swirled around her knees as she dashed toward him.

All her beauty was lost on Adam, with the exception of her gorgeous blue eyes, and warm smile. The two embraced, the muscular man spinning her in a circle, as the two friends celebrated seeing one another after the long summer break. Setting her down Adam smiled down at his child hood friend.

“How was your summer?” He asked her.

“It was great, I interned at the school, learned a lot, got to chat with one of my idols. What about you?” She asked excited to see him.

“Good, I worked at my father's construction company.” He smiled faintly, sitting down at a booth.

“You don't seem pleased.” She smiled perceptively, as she joined him.

“I just, I did a lot of thinking, freshman in high school, new school, new chances, new paths.”

“Such as?” She prodded.

“Music.” He blushed softly.

“What about your father's construction company?”

“That's my father's dream.” He sighed.

Anna nodded. “Blood Ball?”

“His dream.” He shrugged.

“Music huh?” She asked thoughtfully.

“You know. Every day at lunch I would have ideas, and jot them down, like, poems sort of.” He stammered trying to explain.

“You hate poetry.” She pointed out.

“Yeah but they weren't really poems, they were songs. So I stared working with them, and refining them, and I actually recorded a few demos”

“That sounds awesome Adam, and I would love to hear them sometime.” She smiled taking his hand, reassuringly.

“Really?” He smiled pleased.

“But later, we got to get to school. I'm a peer guide, got to get my extra credit.” She smiled standing up.

With a nod, he joined her and the two walked to school together chatting about their summers. When they hit the steps, they parted ways, so she could go find her peer, leaving him to stair at the gothic looking school, contemplating his future. Finally he walked up the steps and through the large double doors, into the hallway.

Walking toward his class, he was passing the principal's office, when he felt a sudden chill. Turning his head he saw a dark haired student walking out of the office, into the hall. He was dressed in a similar fashion to himself, but wore a choker with an hourglass pendant instead of a tie, and wore no shirt at all. He had tattoos which was unusual for men their age, and his hands were encased in black steel gauntlets that ended at the elbow.

Adam's eyes narrowed as they locked eyes, and he could feel a heat inside his chest. The desire to pummel the student into the ground was so strong, he had to remember to breathe. Whoever he was, he was defiantly going to be a rival on the Blood Field, and though a part of him desired to prove his supremacy right now, he reminded himself that he wanted a different path. He didn't want to be his father anymore, he wanted to be him.

Can Adam resist his violent tendencies?
