Actually it's about to end...

Things might have gotten MUCH worse than this, except Rarity has been taking instruction from Twilight and though it gave her a crashing migraine to do it has telepathically contacted the Princess of Friendship who even now appears behind Spike and locks him and Sweetie Belle in two separate spheres of pink **** field.

"SPIKE!" She exclaims angrily and the sound of his mother's voice raised in rebuke returns Spike to sanity and reason instantly, as it would any dragon, who have developed the instinct to obey their elders through several million years of ruthless culling.

"What in TARTARUS is going on here? I was having a nice night with Flash Sentry and then Rarity calls me in a panic and says you and Sweetie Belle are trying to KILL each other, what happened?!" Alicorn Princess Twilight Sparkle demands, and both of the belligerent parties point at each other and declare "(HE/SHE) STARTED IT!"

After getting a blow by blow account of the fight Twilicorn eventually gets the explanation of the more important question she has been wondering about, why Spike has suddenly changed from baby to young adult, or rather the lack of same that Luna gave him, and a much edited and abridged for the consumption of a certain fillies' ears account of what happened AFTER his visit to Canterlot.

"... and then She attacked me!" Spike finishes.

"Whoa boy..." Twilight replies and shakes her head at the mess.

It is now dawn, the roosters are crowing on the farms that ring the city, and ponies are waking with stained sheets and disappointed looks on their faces: or with other ponies in their beds that may or may not have been there yesterday night and feeling sore in all the right places, but at Carousel Boutique a far grimmer mood prevails.

Situation now explained Sweetie Belle apologizes but Twilight, who among other things has some first aid training, realizes that she is sporting a broken rib, and telling Spike to "Stay EXACTLY where you are till I get back!" 'Winks' the young unicorn filly to Ponyville's hospital.

Spike, looking torn up and dejected, stands perfectly still for the 10 Minutes it takes his 'mother' to get Sweetie Belle ensconced at the ER, where upon she reappears and just starts starring at him. For two and a half minutes he just stands there feeling worse and worse till he finally blurts: "Dammit Twilight say SOMETHING!"
