Acting talent

"Anything I want?" you asked.

Emilia nodded. "Well, within reason. It should be a known talent, even if it's obscure, like juggling chainsaws or some other preposterous thing. So long as someone has done it before, you can't just make up a talent that doesn't exist since the magic needs to be able to compare to those who are naturally gifted in that area. You don't even need to have any skill in it right now to bind it to you."

You paused, pondering. Your career options are not looking very promising, but it wouldn't make sense to wish for talents for things you during your occasional office jobs when you can get them. A talent in spreadsheets? That would be a waste. Answering a phone? Even worse. There wasn't a talent you could use to move up in the world in that line of work, you were stuck there.

So, why not pick a talent that is exciting and intriguing, one that could lead to a career in something you always wanted to do but were too shy and unskilled to do professionally? Something that you'd attempted only once, and it went so badly you vowed to never try it again...

...until now.

"I want to be a better actor. Stage, film, voice, whatever, I want to be able to be believable as any character. I had a two-line part in a production in high school and forgot my lines opening night and never returned... but whenever I watch movies and television I always wonder what it would be like to be able to make someone believe I'm someone else."

"Ah, I love this particular talent." Emilia clapped her hands together. "It blends so well with the side-effect of the coin. You'll be more adaptable than most at being believable in your new body, so long as you treat the world as a constant rehearsal. A good enough improvisational method actor would be able to hide the nature of the coin's effects with relative ease, and that level of talent is only a few flips away."

You nodded, suddenly really excited by this prospect if it is real. If it's just a joke that Emilia is pulling on you, that would be mean, but she didn't seem like the type of person to waste her time humiliating others--well, except those who attack her in the tabloids, apparently. But you'd done no such thing, you felt pretty safe.

"Well, wot 're we wai-tin for!" You said with a grin, attempting a British accent. Kind of. For some reason, you already thought you flipped the coin, and got a little too brave in thinking you already had acting skills just by saying it, but you remembered at least one coin flip was necessary. Emilia offered a face somewhere between a smile and pain. After you blushed at seeing Emilia's response at your baseline acting talent, you flipped the coin up over the table.
