The next few nights, Sam logged in looking for her “Hiro,” Bryce. She would spend hours talking with him, to the point where their game felt like an afterthought.

She made him laugh. He valued her teamwork and partnership. And his voice made her feel secure and wanted the moment she logged in.

“How are you doing Sam?” he asked.

“Better now that you’re online. What are we playing tonight?” she responded.

“Actually I can’t stay on long. I have some errands to run, but I needed to ask if you had Snapchat or anything so we could talk offline. No pressure though, I’ve just been enjoying our time talking.”

Samantha was unsure. She did have Snapchat, but she didn’t know Bryce in person. But she knew how valued she felt and wouldn’t mind getting to know her “Hiro.”
