Garris reached into his bag and grabbed his dagger. Pulling it out, he noticed most of the blood from his previous altercations had dried, leaving a black crust around his once perfect blade. He sighed and plunged it into a nearby tree, and began climbing it.

As he ascended, he began to make out the figures, all were humanoid, and most wore stained leather clothes and black hats. Some had obviously lost limbs and wore wooden prosthetics that all swung limply as the men made their way around the settlement.

Garris reached the platform, and dashed to a nearby table on the platform to hide. “So, how much you thinkin for her?” A man with a thick, gruff accent blurted. Another answered in another ridiculous voice, “I ain’t payin no more than a cent for that lousy worker!” Garris peaked his head up to see two pirates of sorts arguing over a small monkey that had been locked in a bamboo cage. The first man who had been trying to sell the ape was missing half his face, which had mostly been covered up by a thick metal monacle. The second was draped in several different flags that Garris had recognized from different nations he had visited.

Growing old of their bickering, Garris looked over them, to see many other creatures in similar cages. He noticed a group of goblins had been tied up in one, and another had a group of humans, all in one piece, chained up together like slabs of meat. All creatures he noticed, humanoid or not, were completely nude, and in the mercy of their guttural captors
