About the story

If you’ve read my first story, Dark Seduction — well, this is what I really meant to write back then. I just didn’t have the skills at the time, especially writing in a foreign language. Instead of trying to redo that old story, I decided to go for a prequel. This one takes place about ten years before the events of Maria. You'll also meet some of the characters and learn of their background a bit in certain branches. (I know, Dark Seduction is still unfinished… maybe one day I’ll get back to it... after completing Smoking Experiment that is...)

If you haven’t read Dark Seduction, don’t worry — you don’t need to. This story stands on its own.

So, what is this? It’s a dark, erotic interactive story with some gothic vibes, a bit of erotic thriller, and plenty of moral choices. You play as Thalia, a young woman who stumbles into something much bigger and darker than she could’ve imagined. It is my first attempt at writing in first person, but I think it adds to immersion. I hope I didn't fuck up with this decision...

There’s one main variable that keeps track of your path: Darkness. This shows how far Thalia slips into moral decline, how much of her humanity she loses along the way. Your choices matter, and they shape where the story goes. Not just the choices, text also differentiates based on your choices later on.

There are other hidden variables that will also influence the story itself, limit or unlock certain choices. Another reason why you really should play it in Game mode.

While I used AI here and there for structuring and polishing the story, it’s still mostly my own work. Not the pictures, though — those are all AI, cause I suck at creating images! Honestly, I probably could’ve done better, but I hope they still add something to the atmosphere.
