About, Introductions, and Otherwise

Going to start by saying that this page isn't strictly necessary to read. It's going to be about me and this project, rather than contain any actual story, so if you're just interested in the story you can skip this without missing anything at all!

For anyone who is left.

Hi there, I'm Sophie and I've been writing and publishing professionally since about 2015, with most of my work available on Amazon. Lately I decided to try taking on a new kind of project for me, which became this story.

This project is the result of an ongoing daily writing exercise I've started doing, a sort of super long-form story that is written in very short chunks each and every day. I basically set a short timer at the beginning of my day and write until the buzzer goes off. Each day the story gets a little bit longer and each day I start off my workday by doing something creative without getting bogged down or distracted.

I wanted to let you, the reader, know that the current plan for this story is to publish one page every day (probably with short breaks between chapters to recalibrate). So if you like where the story is heading or if you're intrigued by the project or maybe if it's some combination of both, you can be pretty certain that there is always going to be something here for you when you check back each day.

I say that now, hopefully I manage to keep it up!

About the story itself, it's very different from the other work I've done before. I've been publishing for a few years now and I've got a process that usually involves a whole lot of planning and preparation of story structure and characters and all the rest before pen ever touches page. This project is meant to be an exercise in free creativity, where I can kind of just kind of put pen to paper and let what happens, happen.

Because of that I don't precisely know what's going to happen next (even though truthfully I have a pretty good idea), but I am terribly certain that I'm probably not going to get there in any rush. This story will be a slow burn, a very slow burn, and I want that to be known from the start so that people don't jump in expecting our heroine to go jumping into bed with someone on page two.

I'm trying to keep things somewhat realistic and I think that a person put into the position of our protagonist, especially someone who doesn't necessarily have any pre-existing interest in swapping genders, likely would take some time to warm up to this big of a shift before getting comfortable enough to be with someone else.

Plus I'd like to make sure that all or most of the pieces for the story are in place. Secondary characters introduced, setting laid out, etc. Before we get into the actual meat of the story and the main character starts exploring life in this new body of theirs.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that this story will be sexy and will get sexy, but it's going to take some time to lay a foundation and for the protagonist to be comfortable before we reach that point. All of that will come in good time, but it'll probably take some time to get there.

I think that about covers the 'how' of the mechanics of this story, but I did want to say a quick word of thanks to anyone who has given my story any time so far. This is a whole new experiment for me, and seeing that people are reading and liking and bookmarking and favoriting it really means a lot to me so thanks for the interest and I hope that you'll keep liking what I'm writing.

Going forward I might use this thread of the story to kind of provide updates along the way and keep people in the loop but as of right now if you like what you've read so far (and I sincerely hope you do) be sure to keep on checking back on a daily basis for the next update!
