AGS Hypnotic

Amanda Werdt's laptop had the secure feed from the CCTV in the Induction Room, and a series of smaller windows to its side gave information on Carmel "Caramel" Rossi's personal, health, and student records, personality tests, English essays and social media posts. She had scanned them to familiarize herself with them, but, fast learner that she was, it was all too much for her to take-in immediately. For now, she looked out from behind the one-way mirror and watched what was happening to her assigned, to use a less lab rat name than test subject, research participant.

The 5'6" 20-year old with short, red hair (recently cut after being compared to Merida's in Brave once too often) was sat in what even to Amanda seemed like a dentist's chair. A vein was found on her arm and sterilized before the hypodermic inserted the catheter. The IV wasn't really required for administering the time-released ****, but it was an essential part of the effectiveness of dikleptoxyribonose-42 as it, in itself, did not induce true AGS symptoms. It was a hypnotic that made people highly suggestive. There were differences. But there needn't be if the hypnotized understood what those symptoms were and believed they had them as well.

As Carmel sat there, lights on the subliminal edge of her awareness tracked then captured the focal points of her brown eyes. Their on-off rhythm induced theta brainwaves and moved back to alpha waves when she was about to go into the delta waves of sleep, and then continued the cycle again, extending the time she was optimally hypnotizable.

Once the standard routine of the hypnotist verbally establishing contact with the hypnotized and testing the depth of the state was completed, Professor Tiffany St. Bartholomew got to the critical post-hypnotic suggestions. "Carmel...you know what Absolute Gullibility Syndrome is like...is that correct? ... You've seen and read news reports of Absolute Gullibility Syndrome ...you know people with Absolute Gullibility Syndrome... your dormmate, Rachel, has Absolute Gullibility Syndrome... you've seen our documentary on Absolute Gullibility Syndrome... And, now, with this ****, you yourself have Absolute Gullibility Syndrome... is that correct?"

During each pause, Carmel had been nodding. Now she was told to "Say 'yes' if you have Absolute Gullibility Syndrome."

"Yes. I have Absolute Gullibility Syndrome."
