A young boy, hardly a man.

Though you have grown since you were a child and now stand at just under six feet tall; you still have a way to go before you're considered handsome or even good looking. Your face has the pallor of someone who spends too much time in their bed during winter months while your body is toned but far from muscular. The one thing that stands out to you as odd, are your two large blue eyes that always seem to be staring back at you in the mirror. They seem to hold some sort of wisdom that you can't explain. You decide to ignore the oddity for right now and instead focus on getting dressed.

Once you get fully dressed, you make your way to the dining hall where you meet with Gilbert Tarn. He looks quite pleased to see you this morning and seems to want to tell you something.

"Good morning my King."

"Good morning Gilbert," you say as you shake his hand before taking a seat.

Gilbert then takes a seat beside you before speaking again, "Your Grace, as we prepare for you to completely take over the rule of the Kingdom, I wanted to tell you about a few of your duties that you'll be required to do today. First, I would like you to sign a decree that declares the position of the royal heir vacant and names me as the Kingdom's regent for the remainder of your reign. It will also proclaim that I, Lord Gilbert Tarn, will be named as the guardian of your children until such a time that they are deemed fit to become monarchs."

"And what else does it entail?" You ask as you raise an eyebrow.

"Well, first off, the royal heir must marry in order to produce future heirs so that the royal blood line will be maintained." He says.

Gilbert nods his head once before continuing, "Secondly, it will allow the crown prince to take up residence in your castle, in preparation for the time when they'll have to take over."

The servants march into the dining hall and start serving breakfast.
