A woman entered the office, saying:

"My lord, please, you need to help Mary!" Said Lidia, a large black woman with deep dark skin who worked in your house as a **** for a long time. She had been taking care of you ever since you were little and, since your mother died, she and other slaves had been your "maternal figure".

"What happened?" you asked.

"She was picking the chicken's eggs when she fell and broke all of them! Now, Roberto, that... pig! Wants to beat her, please sir, she is clumsy but she doesn't deserve this!"

Roberto was one of the foremen, he had always been quite cruel towards the slaves and you never liked him. Maybe, your first act as ruler of this land should be to fire him... Outside of the house, you could see some slaves and workers watching the brute dragging the crying Mary to a little hut that he uses to discipline the slaves.

Mary was around your age, she was born on the farm and had a skinny figure with perky breasts and a little tight butt, her skin was very dark and her hair was long and made in braids. Roberto was laughing as he dragged the girl to the ground, she was crying and struggling so much that her light blue dress had lots of rips on it.

"Roberto!" you shouted at him.

He stopped and looked at you, just like everyone else. Standing up and taking his hat out, he said:

"Hey boss, I am just going to discipline this little nigger right here, okay? You know, they need a little beating from time to time... Do you need something?"

"You are fired"

"E- excuse me?"

"I am tired of your cruel behavior with my slaves, they are my property and you are damaging them. Do you even consider talking to me before grabbing Mary? Get the fuck out of here!"

All the slaves and employees began to shout at him, throwing rocks and small sticks at the man as he ran to the fence. When he was out of sight, they began clapping at you, some helped Mary get up and she seemed much more relieved now, but you remain silenced.

The slaves were happy, and this was good, but even though you hated Roberto's cruel methods, you knew slaves needed punishment. You couldn't be seen as a soft owner, Mary still needed to be punished... Whistling, you shut the slaves and spoke to Mary, making sure that they all listened:

"Mary, you still deserve to be punished for breaking the eggs this morning. Roberto is out, so I will be the one dealing with your punishment today. Come with me to the hut."

"But... but..." Mary had tears in her eyes and began to shake, you two knew each other for a long time, so when she saw, she thought she had been spared.

"I am going to punish you fairly, so come with me, now!"

The other slaves, who had stopped smiling and were now looking to the ground, placed their hands on her shoulder and told her to go with you, knowing that, by your hand, her punishment wasn't going to be so brutal...

Inside the hut, you looked at Mary. She was crying and shaking, her skin had never met the whip before, but she knew how painful it was. Your heart sank as you heard her whimpers, maybe, you should punish her in another way... But how?
